The Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA) was invited by The Times of India to form the official TOIFA Academy for the Times of India Film Awards (TOIFA) 2025 as part of the publication’s initiative to collaborate with leading producers’ bodies. This collaboration offered IMPPA members a distinguished platform to contribute to the selection process for excellence in Indian cinema. Members were given the opportunity to cast their votes for the awards shortlist in the TOIFA Films and TOIFA OTT categories.

And the journey rose to a truly proud moment when IMPPA President Shri Abhay Sinha attended the TOIFA ceremony in Mumbai on 1st December 2025, representing the association at one of the most anticipated events of the Industry where he had the honor of presenting the Excellence in Casting Award to Mr. Romil Jain for his remarkable contribution to the Hindi feature film Laapataa Ladies and also celebrated the collective efforts of the film’s talented team. Senior Vice Presidents IMPPA Ms. Sushama Shiromani & Shri Ashoke Pandit, General Secretary FMC & EC Member IMPPA Shri Nishant Ujjwal & Executive Committee Member IMPPA Shri Yusuf Shaikh were also present at the event on behalf of IMPPA.
