India's First AI-Generated Film: A new chapter in Indian cinema has begun — one where technology meets creativity like never before. For the first time in the country, a completely AI-generated film titled ‘Love You’ has received a green light for theatrical release. Certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as suitable for all age groups, this marks a historic moment for Indian film as the first 100% AI-created movie to hit the big screen.
Powered by AI: From Characters to Camera Angles
Made in the Kannada language, Love You stands out for its complete reliance on artificial intelligence. Every aspect — from character design, dialogue, animation, and lip-syncing to even 12 original songs — was crafted using AI. The music and lyrics were generated by AI tools and later fine-tuned by human music directors. Remarkably, even the camera movements in the film were AI-driven.
The film runs for 95 minutes and was developed using more than 30 different AI tools, including those for text-to-script generation, visual creation, music composition, and voice synthesis.
The Creators Behind the Project

Behind this groundbreaking project are Narasimha Murthy, a temple priest from Siddhehalli village near Bengaluru, graphic designer Nutan, and creative director Sundar Raj Gundu Rao. Together, they brought the film to life in just six months on a budget of ₹10 lakhs (approx. $12,000) — an extraordinary achievement in today’s high-cost filmmaking industry.
Speaking about the experience, Narasimha Murthy shared that the most difficult task was creating emotional expressions on the characters’ faces and ensuring perfect lip-syncing. Nutan added that the AI tools they used are already six months old, and if the film were made today, it could be “a thousand times better” with current advancements.

Love You isn’t just a film — it’s a sign of what’s coming. At a time when AI is transforming industries globally, this project proves that even with limited resources, creativity paired with technology can produce something extraordinary. It’s not only a technical leap forward, but a milestone in the history of Indian cinema.
As of now, the official release date of the film has not been announced. But one thing is clear: Love You is paving the way for a future where films may be created not by massive crews or star-studded casts — but by code, algorithms, and the limitless imagination of artificial intelligence.
