On Monday, April 7, Bollywood superstars Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Vineet Kumar Singh were seen in New Delhi promoting their upcoming film Jaat. The promotional event took place at PVR INOX Satyam in Nehru Place, where the actors interacted with fans and engaged in conversations for nearly 50 minutes. They also answered questions from the media.
Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda Promote Jaat in New Delhi
Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Vineet Kumar Singh appeared in New Delhi on Monday, April 7, to promote their upcoming movie Jaat. The event was held at PVR INOX Satyam in Nehru Place, where the stars met with their fans and spent around 50 minutes talking to them. They also took the opportunity to answer questions from the media.
During the event, Sunny Deol shared some insights about the film's storyline. He explained that the film is set in a remote coastal village, where a brutal criminal named Rantunga terrorizes the local people. The villagers are suffering under his criminal acts, unable to find an opportunity to teach him a lesson. Eventually, fed up with his wickedness, the villagers take it upon themselves to confront him.
Sunny Deol's Interest in Horror Films
When asked about the possibility of starring in a horror film, Sunny Deol expressed his interest, saying that he would definitely take up a horror script if it came his way. During the promotional event, he recreated one of his famous lines from the movie Damini, delivering the dialogue "Tariq par tariq" in a fresh new version.
Sunny Deol Talks About Dharmendra and Manoj Kumar's Friendship
In another conversation at the event, Sunny Deol shared stories about the close friendship between his father Dharmendra and legendary actor Manoj Kumar. He mentioned that both men entered the film industry around the same time. Sunny fondly recalled how his father once told him that whenever Manoj Kumar went shopping for clothes, he would always bring a few shirts for Dharmendra as well. He also praised Manoj Kumar for his significant contribution to Indian cinema, particularly his patriotic films, which helped instill a sense of national pride among people.
Sunny Deol on Working in South Cinema
During the event, Sunny Deol shared his experience of working in South cinema and expressed how much he enjoyed it. He said that people in the South cinema industry never compromise on the quality of their films. He added that it was his personal desire to settle down there, given his admiration for the industry.
Randeep Hooda Shares His Experience of Working with Sunny Deol
Randeep Hooda also shared his thoughts on working alongside Sunny Deol, saying, "We grew up watching Sunny Sir and learned a lot from him." He explained that in real life, Sunny Deol is a very gentle person, quite different from the fierce on-screen persona that people are accustomed to seeing. Randeep even quoted a line from his own film: "Mujhe mera naam Rantunga, mujhe bohot pyaar hai".
Vineet Kumar Singh spoke about his role in Jaat, revealing that this was the first time he was playing a negative character. He expressed his hope that the audience would appreciate his performance. He also mentioned the significant difference between his earlier roles and this one.
The film Jaat, written and directed by Gopichand Malineni, and produced by Mythri Movie Makers and People Media Factory, is set to release on April 10, 2025. Fans will be able to watch this exciting drama in both Hindi and Punjabi languages.
