Popular playback singer Javed Ali paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary Ustad Zakir Hussain during the trailer launch of the film Pintu Ki Pappi. In an emotional address, Javed Ali shared, "Yesterday morning, Ustad Zakir Hussain Ji left us, and I must say, the entire music world, the entire musical community, is deeply saddened. This is not just something to say; it's something we feel with all our hearts. His name, his music, will never return. From now on, whenever you speak of the tabla, the name of Ustad Zakir Hussain Khan Sahib will always come to mind. His name will stay forever, but he is no longer with us, and that will always be remembered. "I have had the honor of meeting him several times and even sitting with him. He was not only a great artist but a genuinely wonderful human being. It's hard to put into words how great a person he was. His kindness and humility were beyond expression. We are all deeply shocked, and the void he leaves behind can never be filled. We pray to God that his soul may rest in peace." It is to be noted that the three-time Grammy Award-winning Ustad Zakir Hussain passed away on December 16 after battling idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
