John Abraham clarifies that action-packed ‘Vedaa’ has damn good content, emotions, drama plus woman-empowerment thru Sharvari’s fight for justice ! by Chaitanya Padukone

As a senior film journalist, I have known John Abraham as a cool, chilled-out dignified handsome, macho model right from his modeling days even before he signed his first-debut-movie Jism (2003) as the lead actor So at the ‘Vedaa’’ spectacular trailer-launch media-conference when the otherwise peaceful-natured John became apparently unruffled, upset, irritated while responding to a media question. It was about his frequent preference for mostly action-oriented lead roles and I was initially baffled by John’s frank reaction. But then modest John quickly cooled down and soon was cheerful once again as he posed with his cast and crew on stage.

At the same time, candid-frank natured John also urged the news-media and theatre-audiences not to be influenced only by the trailer, but to watch the entire movie ‘Vedaa’. “Because the spectacular action-packed ‘Vedaa’ also has plenty of intense emotions, drama and woman-empowerment thru Sharvari’s fight for justice. Also among the previous movies, I did with Nikhhil Advani, ‘Vedaa; is best film I feel  I have shot so far with director Nikkhil Advani. It’s a damn good film with great content and it will definitely run and be appreciated, “clarified a confident John who was clad in a smart designer outfit ensemble at the event.

We need to briefly recall that John Abraham was very impressive in a negative shades major role clashing against mega-star Shah Rukh Khan in blockbuster-hit 2023 movie Pathaan!

Meanwhile director Nikkhil Advani, whom I know since his landmark musical debut movie ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003) shared with me that the film had merited a “UA’ certificate with few muted abusive words and phrases. “ Our movie ‘Vedaa’  is an edgy engaging family entertainer, and even teenaged students can watch it accompanied by their parents or by elders. The movie ‘Vedaa’ beautifully blends with the theme of Independence Day and showcases the brave fight against injustice by Vedaa played perfectly by Sharvari Wagh. ( of ‘Munjya’ super-hit horror movie fame) and her tough avenging-angel avatar. My movie Vedaa’s negative ( villain) character is played convincingly by real-life martial arts expert and terrific actor  Abhishek Banerjee. Then of course John Abraham with his total dedication,  his supreme histrionic abilities and amazing action caliber elevates. Vedaa to great heights. Also, we have the tantalizing actress Tamannah Bhatia in a striking guest appearance, “ informs Nikkhil.      ,”    .

 Zee Studios, Emmay Entertainment, and JA Entertainment today unveiled the much- awaited trailer of their upcoming action-packed drama, ‘Vedaa’. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film stars John Abraham and Sharvari in lead roles.

‘Vedaa’ is a powerful story of resilience and the indomitable human spirit. The film follows the journey of a young woman, Vedaa, who dares to challenge the status quo. Her fight for justice is fuelled by the unwavering support of a former soldier who becomes her shield and her weapon.

The trailer promises an adrenaline-pumping experience, filled with high-octane action sequences and emotionally charged moments. It offers a glimpse into the world of Vedaa and the challenges she faces as she embarks on a perilous quest for justice.

John Abraham, known for his powerful and action-packed roles, is set to deliver another stellar performance. He shares, “I am excited to be part of a film like ‘Vedaa’. It’s a story that will resonate with audiences and inspire them to stand up for what is right.”
