The maha-khush khabri is that  Jio Studios mega-blockbuster movie Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, crosses worldwide collections of Rs 1000 Crores that too in just 21 days! There are fireworks of ecstatic joy and cheer amongst producers, directors, exhibitors, and lead super-star actors that big-screen theater cinema continues to be the 'Baap-Dada of All Manoranjan!

Meanwhile, as the final five-day countdown begins for the New Year 2026, the film-industry and theatre audiences with are ready to welcome anticipated franchise-sequels like Border 2, Bhediya 2, Drishyam 3, Mardaani 3, and potential blockbusters like Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Kartik Aaryan's Naagzilla, and action from stars like Allu Arjun (AA22) and Ajay Devgn. Also on the anticipated 'hit-list' are big-budget mythological epics, horror sequels, and high-octane action films filling the cinematic calendar. of 2026.

The prospective super-hit list of 2026 includes the New Year Gift emotional war movie 'Ikkis' ( legendary Dharmendra's last and final movie) releasing on January 1st 2026!  Then comes the superstar Prabhas starrer The RajaSaab in Telugu-Hindi releasing on auspicious Makar Sankranti-Pongal festivals on Jauary 14th!  Nine days later there is patriotic thriller movie Border 2:--with Sunny Deol returning for the sequel to the patriotic war classic pre-Republic Day, releasing on Jauary 23rd 2026 ! ..

But the much-awaited historic box-office movies clash would be on March 19th and March 20th! Blockbuster Dhiurandhar 2 ( sequel ) and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's blockbuster Love and War, Yash and Kiara Advani's movie 'Toxic'  then there is Telugu-Hindi emotional action Telugu-Hindi emotional-action thriller Dacoit ( starring Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur) all movies expected to release on auspicious shubh Hindu New Year Day of Gudi Padwa and Ugaadi and Islamic Eid Mubaarak which is all falling on and during March 19, 2026 weekend! 

Also on the upcoming releases is Bhediya 2: Varun Dhawan's horror-comedy franchise continues. Also on the cinematic conveyor belt is Drishyam 3: Ajay Devgn's acclaimed crime thriller is set to have its next installment. followed by Mardaani 3: Rani Mukerji is back for another dark chapter in the thriller series. Yet another sequel Dhamaal 4:popular comedy franchise may return with top-stars ! Baaghi 4: The action franchise starring Tiger Shroff is also expected. 

Big-Budget Mythological-Fantasy Ramayana: A massive two-part adaptation from ( 'Dangal director) Nitesh Tiwari, featuring Ranbir Kapoor.!  Then comes Naagzilla - Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand: Kartik Aaryan stars in this mystical adventure. followed by Vishwambhara: A fantasy epic starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and Trisha Krishnan.
