Initially, only film producers would hire makeup artists for their movie sets to handle the makeup for every actor based on their respective roles. Over time, actors began hiring personal makeup artists for themselves. Now, almost every actor has a personal makeup artist.

Makeup Artist Saeed Musarrat Honored for 50 Years in Bollywood

Saeed Musarrat, a renowned makeup artist, has completed 50 years in Bollywood. In recognition of this remarkable achievement, he was recently honored with a prestigious award. The Cine Costume, Makeup Artist, and Hairdresser Association honors its members every year for their creative work, talent, and contributions to the Hindi film and television industry. In this context, the association honored Saeed Musarrat for his 50+ years of contribution as a makeup artist in the creative field of the Hindi film and television industry. This recognition was presented to him during the 57th Annual General Meeting of the association in Mumbai, where he was awarded a certificate of achievement along with a shawl by the Association's President, Sharad D. Shelhar, and General Secretary, Stanley J. D’Souza.

Saeed Musarrat: Bollywood’s Legendary Makeup Artist

Saeed Musarrat is a name that needs no introduction. One section of Bollywood knows him as the personal makeup artist of actress Neetu Singh and actor Vijayendra Ghatge. However, Saeed Musarrat has worked as a makeup artist with hundreds of other famous figures, including Sanjeev Kumar, Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, K. N. Singh, Pran, Neetu Singh, Vijayendra Ghatge, Akshay Kumar, Muzaffar Ali, Kamal Amrohi, Desh Gautam, and many others. The renowned director Muzaffar Ali still calls Saeed Musarrat to work as the makeup artist on his film sets.

Saeed Musarrat’s 50-Year Journey in Bollywood Makeup

Saeed Musarrat has worked as a makeup artist on over 300 films, including Chorni, Umrao Jaan, Rakhm Dil, Yaarana, Kaala Patthar, Aatish, Yuvraj, and many others. He has been working with directors like Muzaffar Ali and others for the past 50 years. Known for his exceptional and creative makeup artistry, Saeed Musarrat continues to work on projects. Currently, he is involved with the biopic film about the infamous dacoit, Malakhan Singh.
