Located about 200 kilometers from Mumbai, in Karjat, the renowned N.D. Studio, founded by the late art director Nitin Desai, has now been officially taken over by the Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation Limited for management. With this development, the studio is set to come alive once again. The sound of lights, camera, and action will soon echo across every stage as shooting for films, TV serials, and other projects resumes at the studio.

In this context, on January 3, 2025, Film City organized a unique event—a tour of the N.D. Studio. The event was attended by prominent personalities from across Maharashtra, including art directors, filmmakers, representatives from production houses, and tour operators. During the event, a brief cultural program was held, and the official website of N.D. Studio was launched.

Dr. Dhananjay Sawalkar, Joint Managing Director, remarked, "Today marks the beginning of a new chapter. Spread across 45 acres, this vast studio is also developing geographically. This small FHM tour was organized with the intent of promoting maximum filming activities at the studio."
