The Indian Magic Arts Trust has given this special honour to the country's number one magician Shankar for his outstanding contribution in the field of magic. Many prominent magicians of the country were present at this award ceremony held at Shri Ram Mantrarth Mandapam in Ayodhya. On this occasion, the organization also organized a 'Jaadu Samagam'. While the magicians shared their experiences, the magic art of the Magician Emperor and his extremely special contribution to this field were also highly appreciated. Let us tell you that magician Samrat Shankar started his magical journey from Srikaranpur in Rajasthan in 1974. Now it has been 50 years since he has been doing his magic shows. It is also a big thing that the magic show of Samrat Shankar has been seen by personalities like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Narendra Modi, Ramnath Kovind, Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, JP Nadda, Giani Zail Singh, Rajiv Gandhi, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj. Many governors and chief ministers of the country have watched his shows and felicitated him. Even film stars like Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Manoj Kumar, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, and Katrina Kaif could not stop themselves from being overwhelmed by his magic. In these 50 years, Samrat Shankar has done around 28 thousand big and small shows in India and abroad. Out of which more than 10 thousand of his shows were dedicated for the welfare of various organizations. He has performed in almost all the states of the country. He has performed in almost all the cities of Haryana, Himachal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He also holds the record of performing 100 shows continuously for 70 days in the country's capital Delhi. Magician Shankar will turn 74 in September. But even at this age, his enthusiasm and dedication to the art of magic are worth seeing.
