Mahima–Sanjay Mishra’s Powerful Pair Shines in ‘Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi’

The trailer of the upcoming film Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi, featuring 90s’ renowned actress Mahima Chaudhary and multi-talented actor Sanjay Mishra, was unveiled on Thursday, December 4. Along with Mahima Chaudhary and Sanjay Mishra, the event was attended by the film’s producers Ekansh Bachchan and Harsha Bachchan, director Siddhant Raj Singh, and other members of the film’s team. Yogesh Lakhani of Bright India was also present on this special occasion. The theme of the entire event revolved around a wedding, which made it even more memorable.

Mahima–Sanjay “Got Married” on Stage

The entire trailer launch event was based on a ‘wedding theme’, which made the atmosphere both fun and  unique. Mahima Chaudhary and Sanjay Mishra made a grand, filmy entry dressed as a bride and groom and even performed a mock varmala ceremony on stage. As soon as they exchanged garlands, a man seated nearby suddenly picked up the mic and started chanting wedding mantras. Hearing this, Mahima got startled and said with a smile—“Why are you chanting these mantras? I hope this isn’t real!” Her remark made everyone on stage burst into laughter, filling the atmosphere with joy.

During the event, producers Ekansh Bachchan and Harsha Bachchan explained that the wedding-themed launch aligned perfectly with the soul of the film, which beautifully showcases the culture, dialect, and warmth of Banaras.

Mahima Chaudhary on Marriage & Loyalty

On this occasion, Mahima spoke about some important aspects related to marriage. She began by referring to the popular saying: “Marriage is like a laddoo—those who eat it regret, and those who don’t also regret.” She added, “My parents had a wonderful marriage, and I tried to follow their path. I believe that having someone with you throughout life is very important. There should be someone who walks with you forever.”

Linking marriage with destiny, she said, “I feel having a life partner is also a matter of luck. Earlier, families used to consider everything—background, behavior, and compatibility—before marriage. I believe one should marry only when most things align. That’s when the relationship lasts longer and problems are fewer.”

She also talked about the dialogues of the film, mentioning one line: “Is umar se upar hai to Ganga mein dhakel do.”(If someone is beyond this age, throw them into the Ganga.)” She explained that this line beautifully captures both the emotional layer of the film and the essence of Banaras’ local culture.
Mahima also shared her experience of working with Sanjay Mishra. She said that Sanjay Ji is not only a brilliant actor but also an inspiration for co-actors. She learned a lot from him—be it the nuances of acting, discipline on set, or the art of bringing truth to every scene. Every moment spent with him felt like a lesson, she added.

Shrikant Verma Praises Sanjay Mishra

Actor Shrikant Verma, during the trailer launch, shared that he got the opportunity to learn the finer details of acting from Sanjay Mishra. He said, “Sanjay Ji is like a walking institute. If he is my Guru Dronacharya, then I am his Eklavya.” Shrikant mentioned that he has worked with Sanjay Mishra in several films and wishes to continue working with him in the future as well.

Responding warmly, Sanjay Mishra said that he and Shrikant have worked together in many memorable films like Aankhon Dekhi and Dum Laga Ke Haisha. He added that Shrikant’s honesty and dedication make every project special, and working with him is always a pleasant experience.

Vyom Yadav on the Banaras Shoot

Actor Vyom Yadav shared his experience of shooting in Banaras, saying that the environment was filled with warmth. “We used to roam around whenever we got a break from shooting. Sanjay Sir himself would say—‘You’ve come to my city, let me take you around.’ The lanes, ghats, and simplicity of Banaras made the entire experience unforgettable.”

Directed by Siddhant Raj Singh, Durlabh Prasad Ki Dusri Shadi stars Sanjay Mishra and Mahima Chaudhary, along with Vyom Yadav, Palak Lalwani, Praveen Singh Sisodia, Navni Parihar, and Shrikant Verma.
