Ever since she played the endearing 'Kitty' assistant to  TV show iconic detective 'Karamchand' (Pankaj Kapur). .The NSD alumnus Sushmita has dared to step out of her comfort-zone. In innovative producer Eram Faridi's movie 'Fedora's Wrinkles' directed by popular talented actor-rebel-director Ashwin Kaushal she plays an ageing ( 55 plus) yet vivacious siren-sex-worker who has this narcisstic-mental-complex that "she still looks young, sultry and attractive" and the maverick movie showcases her roller-coaster journey   . In this movie there is an ensemble supporting cast of  eminent star actors like Ali Asgar. Manish Wadhwa, Aanchal Munjal, Dhwani Pawar, Vibhuti Thakur, Jinal Jain, Baby Riya Raval  Jennifer Nair  and many more. The highlight of  the event was the announcement that Fedora’s Wrinkles, and Naina, Meet Mr. Chang —  part of Eram Faridi’s thought-provoking anthology — were officially selected for screening at Marche du Film, Cannes. This recognition not only marked international acclaim for Indian storytelling but also reaffirmed Faridi’s position as a bold and conscious filmmaker unafraid to explore emotional depth and unconventional themes. 'Meet Mr Chang' hard-hitting social-thriller movie also directed by Ashwin Kaushal  which has the 'Corona Covid Pandemic'  realistic backdrop. The subject features an actual Chinese actor whose 'Indo-Chinese' character faces a stringent social boycott thanks to noted star actor Adi Irani's villainish social character with a shock-value twist in the climax.  Whereas movie 'Naina' directed by Suman Guha which features star actress-model Punjabi actress Heera Sohal as a (minus facial make-up) Rajasthani pretty village girl lead role in an emotional true-story
