The grand teaser launch of Swayambhu took place in Mumbai in the presence of the film’s cast and crew, including Nikhil Siddhartha, Samyuktha, Nabha Natesh, producer Bhuvan, director Bharat Krishnamachari, music composer Ravi Basrur, and cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar. During the event, the team shared their experiences of working on the film.
Nikhil Siddhartha Speaks
Thanking the media, Nikhil Siddhartha said, “I will always be grateful for the love you gave me during Kartikeya 2. I was relatively new, but you accepted me wholeheartedly.”
He revealed that he underwent 45 days of martial arts and weapons training in Vietnam for Swayambhu, calling it a life-changing experience.
Speaking about the Sengol, Nikhil said, “It symbolizes the transfer of power. It is believed that Lord Shiva gave it to Lord Rama. Wherever the Sengol is present, there is prosperity. Our film is rooted in those cultural traditions.” He added that the film is set against the historical backdrop of 985 AD and can be described as historical fiction.

“This Film Changed Me” – Samyuktha
Samyuktha said she became emotional after watching the teaser on the big screen for the first time. “Every film feels like my first film,” she shared.
She performed horse riding, archery and several intense stunts for the film, including a 60-foot rope jump. “It wasn’t easy,” she admitted, adding with a smile that she befriended her horse, Laka, and treated the training sessions like friendly competitions.
She also said that when she signed the film, it seemed small in scale, but with every schedule it grew bigger. “Watching it on screen now, it feels massive,” she said.
Bharat Krishnamachari and KK Senthil Kumar
Director Bharat Krishnamachari said, “Everyone believed in me, and I believed in my craft. The result you see today is because of that trust.” He described the story as inspiring, stating that with a clear goal and determination, one can rise from any situation and create history.
Cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar said his aim was to present India in a grand and visually powerful manner. “We often see visual references of Egypt and Greece, but India’s stories are equally महान. They deserve to be shown on the same scale,” he said.
Ravi Basrur on the Music
Music composer Ravi Basrur humbly said, “I am just a medium to bring this film to the audience. Whatever good is happening is because of God’s grace and the team’s faith.”
He added that the film offers ample scope for music due to its strong writing. Multiple versions of the trailer were created, incorporating suggestions from the entire team to achieve the final impactful result.
