How Shahid Got the Film
During the trailer launch, Shahid revealed that producer Sajid Nadiadwala was the one who first approached him for the role. “I’m really grateful to Sajid bhai for calling me after seven or eight years. Honestly, it was his call, not Vishal sir’s. He told me this film should be a part of my filmography,” Shahid shared.
Reacting humorously, Vishal Bhardwaj quipped, “That’s because you didn’t reply to my messages.” Shahid playfully responded, sparking laughter and light-hearted banter on stage, making the press conference entertaining and memorable.
Shahid on Love and the Film
When a reporter asked Shahid about an expensive love that cost him deeply, he replied smartly, “You’ll see on February 13 how expensive love can be.” He added jokingly that he hopes the ticket prices will be high too. Vishal Bhardwaj beautifully summed up their bond by saying, “It’s just a feeling—experience it from the soul. Let love remain love without naming it.”
Tripti Dimri Praises Shahid
Tripti Dimri shared her experience of working with Shahid, calling him an extremely supportive co-star. She said that collaborating with him was a long-cherished dream that finally came true with O’ Romeo.
Tripti’s Viral Moment
During the press conference, Tripti unintentionally created a viral moment when she thanked Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor and then jokingly added, “Sorry, Avinash is also there—I forgot.” The candid moment left everyone laughing, with Shahid quipping, “Whether the film works or not, this press conference is already a blockbuster.”
Vishal Bhardwaj on Shahid Kapoor
Vishal revealed that his filmmaker friends often joke that he deserves a National Award for doing four films with Shahid. However, Vishal said Shahid deserves the award instead for tolerating him. He admitted to being a tough director but praised Shahid for understanding his temperament. He added that while creative disagreements do occur, their bond has only grown stronger over time.
