Explains co-director-writer and co-producer Swati Chauhan, " --' One Nation-One Law'  forms basis of our volatile divorce-court-drama realistic movie Saira Khan Case ! ! feel strongly for victimized Muslim married women and I am against the biased and unfair treatment and inequality often heaped on them. In marital relationships or in inheritance matters she is generally treated as a second class human being. It enrages me. My full support for the UCC  (Uniform Civil Code) is the reason for making Saira Khan Case. Certain prejudices of the system put me in a situation where I had to opt either for my package/privileges or my principles. I chose the latter and opted out of  judicial service. But that did not make me compromise on my commitment to work for justice. I was able to channelize my energy for social justice through creativity. After I voluntarily retired, I enrolled for a diploma in film making. Over the tenure of my service as a Judge I came across many unique cases of the nature that requires public attention which I intend to bring through cinema. My first film Saira Khan Case  is based on one such judgment of mine. It's a story of a beautiful Muslim woman who is unilaterally divorced by her husband and separated from her children. The legal issue in this case is dealing with the challenges of personal law and secular law of India. It was Karan Razdan's mentoring and technical film-craft guidance that made my journey of making this film not only easy but also productive. His vast expertise and experience in film-making has added immense value to the film, " discloses dignified Swati Chauhan.👆

Amazingly stunning and emotionally intense actress Araddhana Sharma who plays Gauri Kaul, a struggling lawyer in Saira Khan Case, has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my career. Gauri is a nominal lawyer, someone who has lost most of her cases and lacks confidence in the courtroom. But what truly fascinated me about her character was her incredible transformation from a timid, uncertain advocate to a fierce, confident fighter for justice. This arc, this journey of resilience, was what made the demanding role so exciting for me.and the courtroom scenes were really challenging, " shares articulate Araddhana Sharma.

Brilliant lead actress Poonam Dubey, who plays a charming lover-girl and distressed yet resilient brave married woman, Saira Khan' with young children, excitedly says, " Consider myself so blessed to be the part of Saira Khan Case movie. This is not my first film but the character of Saira and life of Saira was so special for me.. In real life I watched a lot of Muslim socials movies, old classics movies like 'Chaudhvin Ka Chaand', 'Nikaah',  and even Urdu TV Serials for correct Urdu diction and tameez-tehzeeb and also met many Muslim women. Both my directors, Swati--Madam and my mentor Karan Razdan-sir and each person from the cast and crew was so supportive during shoots and even off-screen..My casting directors, Sohan and Shradha, who cast me in this film-- I’ll be lifetime thankful to both of them," says Poonam Dubey.

"Saira Khan Case" movie is a powerful, thought-provoking social eye-opener for both adults and teenage Muslim girls, and highly relevant in today's times. Especially, as married women with children continue to face challenges stemming from deep-rooted religious norms. Directors-writers Swati Chouhan and Karan Razdan have done an excellent job. The performances by all the actors are effective and convincing. This film truly leaves a lasting impact.
