Priya Thakur of TV Show  ‘Vasudha’  Shares Her Makeup Mantra

Recently, Mayapuri journalist Shilpa Patil met Priya Thakur, known for her strong role in the popular TV show ‘Vasudha’. In this conversation, Priya shared insights into her simple and effective makeup habits. She not only revealed her favorite beauty products but also emphasized how she believes in embracing skin texture instead of hiding it! • When and how did your love for makeup begin?

I've loved makeup since childhood! Even before I became an actress, I enjoyed doing makeup. I used to think the best part about being an actress would be getting constant touch-ups. Even today, during shoots, I keep fixing my own makeup—whether I like the look or not!

• Kajal or eyeliner?

Kajal! It suits my eyes better. I always prefer kajal over eyeliner.

• Loose powder or compact powder?

Compact powder is my favorite because it's very handy and saves time. Loose powder tends to take more effort.

• Which makeup step do you like the most – blush or lip tint?

Blush! It gives freshness, adds a soft color to the cheeks, and enhances the shape of the face. Honestly, I sometimes even apply blush before going to bed.

• Lip tint or lip balm?

Lip tint — it lasts longer on the lips.

• Makeup on or makeup off?

Earlier, I used to sleep with my makeup on! But now, as soon as I get home, the first thing I do is remove my makeup, so my skin can breathe. I always follow the basics—moisturize, use sunscreen, and remove makeup properly.

• Open hair or tied up?

Always open hair! Films have shown open hair in such a romantic way that I love it too—it gives a special kind of feeling.

• Heels or flats?

Flats! I prefer comfort.

• What sweet grooming tip would you like to give to girls?

When heading out, just apply a few basic products — a little concealer, soft blush, compact, and a lip product that matches your skin tone. If you want to use loose powder, apply it naturally — then spray some mist or water on your face, and lightly dab with tissue to blend. Finish off with a touch of mascara. That’s it, your makeup is done!
