Television actress and accomplished voiceover artist Puja Sharma is stepping into a powerful new phase of her career. Known for her impactful performances in popular shows such as Jhanak, Naagin, Mere Angne Mein, Devon Ke Dev… Mahadev and Gangaa, Puja has now turned producer, writer, and director, marking her official foray behind the camera with her own original projects.

Beyond television, Puja has steadily built an impressive body of work as a voice artist. Her credits span both Indian and international platforms, including voiceover work for Netflix’s global series The Madness and The Four Seasons. She has dubbed for the South Indian film Captain Miller and has recently completed the English dubbing for Delhi Crime Season 3. Her upcoming project includes House of David Season 2, further reinforcing her versatility across formats and platforms.

Now, after nearly 18 years in the entertainment industry, Puja is ready to tell stories on her own terms.

“I am not from a film school, but after spending so many years in the industry, the learnings and experiences naturally led me to this step,” she says. “I’ve been writing stories for years but never acted on them. Last year, while rebuilding my career and navigating personal loss, I finally decided to trust my voice and take the leap.”

Describing the emotional and creative journey of making her first short film, she adds, “As someone who cannot swim, this felt like diving into the ocean and finding my way back to the shore. Creating your own vision and watching others connect with it is deeply fulfilling. Work became my anchor, and that’s when I knew it was time to bring my stories to life.”

Calling this phase “creatively liberating,” Puja shares, “It’s a rewarding journey, and I can’t wait to share these stories with the audience.”

With multiple original projects currently in development, Puja Sharma’s transition from performer to creator signals a confident evolution — positioning her as a multifaceted storyteller ready to shape narratives beyond the spotlight.
