Released on December 5, the film has created a storm at the box office, shattering several records. Pushpa 2 has surpassed major Bollywood hits like Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Aamir Khan's Dangal, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan, and Jawan. The film has also left behind Gadar 2 and Animal, as well as Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. Even South Indian blockbusters like RRR, Kalki 2898 AD, and Salaar have been eclipsed by Pushpa 2 in terms of box office collections. Expectations are high that, by day 16, the film will cross the 1000 crore mark in India, making it the first Indian film to achieve this milestone. Controversies and Challenges All of this success comes despite some serious controversies surrounding the film's release. Before the movie hit theaters, the makers and cast were accused of hurting religious sentiments in Haryana. The situation worsened just one day before the release, on December 4, when a premiere event was held at Sandhya Theatre. A stampede broke out during the event, resulting in the tragic death of a 34-year-old woman named Revathi. Her son, Shritej, was also severely injured. In response to the tragedy, Allu Arjun pledged ₹25 lakh to the grieving family and promised to offer all possible support. Director Sukumar also stepped forward, donating ₹5 lakh to the family to assist them in this difficult time. Despite these unfortunate incidents, Pushpa 2 continues to break records and remains a massive success at the box office. With its impressive performance, it's safe to say that Pushpa 2 is unstoppable. It seems that no film, whether Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Animal, Pathaan, Jawan, Kalki, or even Stree 2, can stand in its way. Given the current box office momentum, there are strong hopes that Pushpa 2 could even surpass the 2000 crore mark in the near future. Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 was released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada. The film’s stellar performances, particularly Allu Arjun’s powerful acting and action scenes, have won the hearts of audiences. Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil’s performances have also received widespread appreciation.
