Rajinikanth’s Coolie: Nagarjuna in Villain Role, Shruti Haasan Adds Emotional Depth

The press conference for Coolie (Rajinikanth’s upcoming film) took place recently. Present at the event were Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, and music composer Anirudh Ravichander. Rajinikanth himself was not present; he was last seen in Vettaiyan.

Working with Rajinikanth was the most special experience for him: “His charisma and (Coolie Aamir Khan cameo role) presence on set are incredible. He even helped me with my Tamil dialogues. Even though this is my most negative role, it has been my most positive experience.”

“Audiences Will Connect With Preeti” – Shruti Haasan

Shruti said that her character, Preeti, in Coolie will showcase a strong feminine side, something that not just women but everyone will relate to. She added, “There’s a ‘Preeti’ in every home, (Coolie Lokesh Kanagaraj action thriller) in every life. I enjoyed playing this character because it has very relatable emotions.”
She described working with Rajinikanth as a dream come true and said that working with such a huge star cast was a major learning experience. Like everyone else, she is also a fan of Rajinikanth.

Anirudh Ravichander Shares a Fun Story

Anirudh spoke about the “I Am the Danger” and “Alella Polema” moments in Coolie.
He revealed a funny story (Coolie Monica song Pooja Hegde) about the line Alella Polema: “It was just some random gibberish that came out of my mouth during recording. But Lokesh liked it so much that he kept it in the teaser. Later, we found out it actually means ‘We are ready to fight’ in Greek.”

He also shared that the Coolie team worked (Coolie Google Trends vs War 2) tirelessly for one and a half years, often staying up nights to finish the project. His hope is that audiences will love the film so much that Coolie 2 will happen.
