Recently, a special Iftar event was organized in Mumbai on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan by Bhamla Foundation. The event was led by the chairman of the foundation, Asif Bhamla. The purpose of the event was to promote social harmony, environmental awareness, and support for the needy. The gathering saw the presence of personalities from the film industry, literature, and politics. During the event, a popular actor and a renowned cinema personality participated and praised the event while also offering prayers for the health of a veteran screenwriter Salim Khan.

Message of the Unit
A large number of people attended the event. Along with the Iftar, the focus was on strengthening brotherhood and mutual respect in society. Asif Bhamla addressed the gathering, emphasizing that Ramadan is a month of reflection, self-discipline, and service. He welcomed all guests and highlighted the importance of unity in today’s times.
What Ravi Kishan Said
Ravi Kishan praised the event, saying that participating in such charitable activities is the duty of every individual. He mentioned that he had come specifically from his parliamentary constituency because social service is an important part of his life. Speaking on the significance of Ramadan, he said that fasting is not a hardship but an act of devotion. He also spoke about the health of the veteran screenwriter (Salim Khan), father of (Salman Khan), saying, “We are all praying for his speedy recovery. We are confident that he will be healthy and back among us soon.”

What Boman Irani Said
On the other hand, Boman Irani said that he has attended this event before and will certainly participate whenever the opportunity arises. He emphasized that one should always be connected to good deeds and never miss such opportunities. Thanking the organizers, he added that charity and service to humanity are the highest forms of duty.
Stars Visit the Hospital
The veteran screenwriter was admitted to (Lilavati Hospital) in Mumbai on February 17. Since then, family members and people from the film industry have been visiting him regularly to check on his health. Colleagues and friends from the industry also visited. Family members and several prominent personalities from film and literature have been praying for his well-being, and everyone is hoping for his speedy recovery.

Born on November 24, 1935, the screenwriter began his career as an actor. In the 1960s, he entered the film industry with a small role in a movie. After working in around two dozen films, he focused on writing and established himself as a prominent scriptwriter.

The Famous Writing Duo
He became famous for his partnership with another renowned writer, known as (Salim-Javed). Together, they wrote the story and dialogues of films such as (Zanjeer), (Deewaar), (Sholay), (Don), and (Seeta Aur Geeta). These films introduced strong characters and powerful dialogues in Hindi cinema and earned writers a status similar to stars.

The screenwriter has two wives – (Salma Khan) and (Helen). From his first wife, he has several children, including a few adopted ones. His second wife is (Helen). Former daughters-in-law are also associated with the family. This family holds a strong position in Bollywood and represents a blend of multiple generations and relationships.
