'Ramayana', broadcast on Doordarshan in 1983, is still present in the hearts of millions of Indians. Loved by people across the country, this series gained popularity again during the Covid-19 lockdown. After the story of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita, Ramayana also depicts the story of their sons, Luv and Kush. The sequel, Uttar Ramayana, continued their story. Swapnil Joshi played the character of Kush, while Mayuresh Kshetramade played the role of Luv in the series.

Career of Luv and Kush of Ramayana

After his role as Kush in the series, Swapnil Joshi continued his acting career and later played the role of Shri Krishna in a serial, establishing himself as a well-known name in Marathi cinema. In contrast, Mayuresh Kshetramade, who played the character of Luv, decided to move away from the film and TV industry. After leaving acting, Mayuresh entered the business and achieved success in that field.

Ramayana's Luv left acting and started this work

After leaving acting, Mayuresh turned his efforts towards education and later collaborated with leading companies. Currently, he serves as the CEO of Commission Junction Affiliate and lives in the US with his family. Mayuresh reportedly grew into a prosperous businessman. Under his leadership, CJ Affiliate is said to generate revenues of $170 million (Rs 4,000 crore). Apart from this, Mayuresh has also written a book titled Spite and Development.

Ramayana, broadcast in the 80s, gave every character god-like status for the audience. Arun Govil played the role of Lord Ram and Deepika Chikhalia played the role of Sita. While many actors in the series are working in the field of entertainment, this Ramayan actor has distanced himself from the world of acting.
