Famous actor and wildlife photographer Randeep Hooda has expressed serious concern about the possibility of implementing birth control measures on female tigers to control the tiger population. Randeep, a vocal supporter of wildlife protection and animal rights, strongly condemned the proposal and described it as "absurd and dangerous ideas".

Randeep Opposes Proposal to Limit Tiger Population

The tigers, which are already included in the endangered species and preserved under Schedule 1, are being preserved for decades to increase their declining number. In such a situation, this proposal to limit tiger's population has become a cause of heavy opposition between wildlife workers and protectionists. Randeep is also raising his voice against this proposal keeping his outspoken opinion on this issue.

Randeep Hooda said, "The population that needs to be controlled is of humans, not tigers. The idea of limiting the birth rate of a specie, already suffering from an existence crisis is absurd. Tigers are not only a symbol of our wildlife heritage but are also very important for maintaining environmental balance. Interfering with their natural breeding will be a full-fledged step in the wrong direction. "

He further said, "Instead of focusing on reducing the population of the endangered species, why are we not working on measures to give them a safe environment? Illegal hunting, encroachment of forests, and destruction of their natural habitats are real problems that need immediate action, not to limit their number. This idea is against the basic sense of conservation efforts. "

Randeep, who has always been vocal about the rights of the environment and wildlife, appealed to the administration to reconsider this wrong and impractical proposal. He stressed that such measures should be adopted for wildlife conservation that prefer protection and co-existence, not unnecessary intervention in natural processes.
