The much-awaited Jagran Film Festival has kicked off today at the Siri Fort Auditorium in Delhi, and it will run for the next four days. The opening ceremony of this festival was graced by the Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Ashwini Vaishnaw. Also present at the ceremony were the ambassadors of Armenia and Venezuela, along with renowned directors Rahul Rawail and Sudhir Mishra.
This year's festival has Vietnam as the country focus partner, and over the next four days, several prominent and artistic Vietnamese films will be showcased. The festival promises to offer audiences a chance to experience some of the finest films from across the globe.

On the first day of the festival, renowned actor Pankaj Kapur made an energetic appearance, dancing to the beats of the dhol with the audience. Following that, Pankaj Kapoor engaged in an insightful conversation with actor Dimpy Mishra, where they discussed his films and career. It’s worth mentioning that a retrospective of Pankaj Kapoor’s films is also being held during the festival.
The event saw the presence of several prominent film personalities, including actors Manoj Bajpayee, Rajat Kapoor, and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.
Talking about the actors present at the event, Pankaj Kapoor was last seen in the Bollywood film Binni & Family. On the other hand, Manoj Bajpayee will soon be seen in Dispatch.
Apart from Pankaj Kapoor, other prominent film personalities such as Manoj Bajpayee, Rajat Kapoor, and casting director Mukesh Chhabra will also be part of the event.

Opening Film
The festival kicked off with the screening of the film Iraani Chai, directed by Manoj Srivastava. The film stars Anant Mahadevan and Zakir Hussain in lead roles.
Additionally, the Asian premiere of the film The Serial Dater will take place tonight at 8 PM.
Other notable films featured during the festival include Kiran Rao’s Lapata Ladies and Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur. The festival will conclude with the screening of Village Rockstar 2, directed by Reema Das.
Following the Delhi edition, the festival will travel to several other cities, including Prayagraj, Varanasi, Raipur, Ranchi, Indore, Lucknow, Kanpur, Siliguri, Agra, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Patna, Ludhiana, Dehradun, Hisar, and Darbhanga. The festival will wrap up in Mumbai during the first week of March, where the grand award night will be held.
