Richa Chadha's Aakhri Somvar: Richa Announces Her Love Story ‘Aakhri Somvar’ on Valentine’s Day

Richa Chadha's Aakhri Somvar: When the whole world came to a standstill during the second lockdown, actress Richa Chadha did not limit herself to becoming a producer, but she also wrote the script of an emotional dramedy (comedy + drama), in which she herself is going to play the lead heroine. This film is being made under the title "Aakhri Somvar". The story of the film revolves around a successful reality TV producer, who becomes desperate to get married when someone in her office calls her a "childless cat lady".

Talking about Aakhri Somvar, Richa Chadha says,

“The story is a product of my own experiences as a girl growing up in a middle-class Punjabi family. Since childhood, I have seen my cousins getting ready for arranged marriages, and that is where I came up with this story, which I think many families will be able to relate to.

Richa adds, “After graduating from college, we all have many dreams and ambitions. But as we enter the world of job work, those dreams start to fade away. (Richa Chadha's Aakhri Somvar) And then there comes a time when we try to balance our career and family, but society considers it ‘too late’. This is the time when we get tired and frustrated because those dreams can no longer be fulfilled so easily.”

Richa adds, “It is a slice-of-life film that shows how a person falls apart and then picks himself up. I feel there is a huge lack of family entertainment films in today's times. And personally, I feel my comic timing has not been used properly till now. As a producer, I feel it is a quality that can be presented in the best way."

'Aakhri Somvar' will be a unique story that will showcase love, societal expectations and the struggles faced to fulfill the dream of marriage. Although Richa Chadha has not revealed the name of the director of this film yet, but this film will bring a refreshing and entertaining experience to the audience.
