What a historic coincidence--- that today is the 395th birth anniversary of iconic ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj—it's his 'Jayanti' and the latest movie-biopic ‘Chhaava; made on his brave young martyr son Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ( 'Shambhuraje') -- by genius director Laxman Utekar and showman producer Dinesh Vijan (‘Maddock Films) is creating box-office history-- having crossed Rs 165 crores on its fifth day, At this galloping pace the film ‘Chhaava’ may surely cross Rs 200 crores by this Saturday according to eminent senior cine-trade analyst Amod Mehra, . Chhaava has successfully seems to have defied the trend of super-hit ‘Sequels that had captivated the film-industry following the box-office success of films like ‘Drishyam-2, Gadar 2  Stree 2 and of course Pushpa-2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 ,  movie Chhaava’s impressive business even outside Maharashtra is simply because the patriotic emotions and actions- bravery-sacrifice content-treatment has Pan-India connect and the hero is a versatile Pan-India star . Directed by Laxman Utekar ( of National Awards winning ‘Mimi’ movie fame) and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Chhaava is a historical action film based on the life of Maratha king Sambhaji, played by Vicky Kaushal.  Besides Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. It is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. The film’s score and soundtrack album are composed by Oscar Award-winning genius A R Rahman, with lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil.
