"Royalty will now become reality" !! CINEFIL Producers Performance Ltd, led by dynamic founding producer members Rishi Raj and Kumar Mohan, proudly unveils its Royalties Distribution Policy at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2025, held on Saturday morning. This landmark initiative ensures fair revenue sharing, transparency, and long-term financial security for producers in an evolving entertainment landscape.

 The Meeting, anchored by wonderful compere-actor Abhinandan Singh, was presided by film-industry veteran leaders Rishi Raj, Kumar Mohan, Priti Sapru, B Subhash, Pahlaj Nihalini, and Pawan Kumar. The (AGM) meeting was attended by prominent producer film-maker members and veteran film-industry-leaders  Mehul Kumar Deepak Sawant, Rikku-Rakesh Nath, Mahindra Bohra, Subhash Chaudhry, Deepak Sharma, Subhash Malhotra, Kuku Kohli, Abhishek Dudaiya, Mukesh Tandon, Surekha Dinesh Patel Nirav Joshi, Rajeev Chaudhari and eminent movie-director Deepak Shivdasani and many more

Eminent filmmaker Rishi Raj, CINEFIL Chairman, stated: “For too long, producers have faced revenue distribution challenges. This policy establishes a fair, structured, and transparent system that protects their rights and secures their earnings. All of us have to join in and take this forward.”_ 

Veteran film producer and respected cine-trade journalist-editor Kumar Mohan and CINEFIL Vice Chairman added, "Film producers are the backbone of the industry and deserve their rightful share of ongoing revenue. This policy is more than a framework—it’s a long overdue, legally justified movement toward economic justice in cinema. We have to make concerted diligent efforts to claim our legal rights with total unity and solidarity.”_ 

Eminent senior dignified actress-social crusader Priti Sapru ( also Chairperson of CAWT- Cine Artistes Welfare Trust)  lauded the initiative, stating,” For years, film producers have struggled for their rightful share. This revolutionary step by CINEFIL is a beacon of hope, ensuring that producers finally get the respect and revenue they deserve.”

Senior eminent film-maker Pahlaj Nihalani (former Chairman-CBFC Censor Board), known for his daringly frank yet honest views, says, ”This is definitely a historic moment for producers. The film industry has long needed a legally-structured royalties system, and CINEFIL has taken a bold initiative-step toward securing financial justice for content creators. Our producers' body needs to always remain legally aware and alert, remain united, and claim our rights, which are being taken away from us. Recently, a very famous veteran film-maker was informed by a leading music label company that he would have to pay a shockingly exorbitant amount if he wished to include footage of old evergreen songs. That, too, for a three-part biopic series on OTT, " disclosed Pahlaj, who is currently working on his upcoming showbiz projects.
