Dharmendra was so delighted and moved that he immediately gifted him one lakh rupees in cash—not as a formal payment, but as an expression of love and generosity. This gesture remains etched in Nasir’s memory as a symbol of Dharmendra’s large-heartedness.

Nasir also recalled spending wonderful moments with Dharmendra in hotels across Jaipur and Mumbai. Be it late-night talks, casual meetings, or time spent on film sets—Dharmendra’s simplicity, humour, and affectionate nature were always on display.
He greeted everyone with such warmth that even strangers felt instantly connected to him. His charisma was not just stardom—it was his humanity.

A Powerful Dialogue and Dharmendra’s Applause

In the podcast, Nasir narrated an interesting incident about a powerful dialogue he wrote for a film: “You are so innocent and foolish, Thakur Baldev Singh! Begging for life in front of a five-foot piece of stone. If a stone could give life to someone, no one would ever die.”

Dharmendra laughed and said: “The one who used to play cards with all of us—that was Dimple!” He then personally took Nasir to meet Dimple Kapadia. This incident reflects Dharmendra’s affectionate nature—he always valued his friends’ happiness and made them feel special.

When Dharmendra Cancelled His Shoot to Drop Him at the Airport another emotional incident shared by Nasir was when he was leaving for Pakistan. To his surprise, Dharmendra cancelled an entire film shoot just so he could personally drop Nasir at the airport.
Nasir said it was one of the most touching moments of his life. He added that at the airport, Dharmendra not only bid him farewell with immense warmth but also handed a gift envelope of 5 lakh rupees for his wife. Nasir said this generosity and genuine affection remain unforgettable.
