Shah Rukh Khan’s Dubai Property Launch Event: Dances with Farah Khan, Gets Emotional Remembering His Mother

On Friday, 14 November, a grand event was held in Mumbai, attended by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, renowned filmmaker–choreographer Farah Khan, and businessman–industrialist Rizwan Sajan, owner of Milano (sanitary fittings, tiles) and Danube Home (home interiors). At this event, the first-ever property named after Shah Rukh Khan was launched. When SRK and Farah Khan took the stage together, the atmosphere turned electric. King Khan entertained everyone with his infectious energy and dance.

Shah Rukh and Farah Set the Stage on Fire

The event was full of entertainment. Shah Rukh Khan, in his signature style, enthralled the guests and recreated iconic moments from his films Om Shanti Om and Don. Watching Farah Khan and Shah Rukh come together on stage was a special moment in itself. As soon as the duo appeared in stylish black outfits, the hall erupted in applause.

The highlight of the evening was when their 26-year-old iconic superhit track “Chaiyya Chaiyya” began playing. Both stars broke into an energetic dance on stage. Shah Rukh delivered such power-packed moves to this popular song from Dil Se that the entire hall echoed with thunderous applause. The video has now gone viral on the internet.

For those unaware, this iconic number—featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora—was choreographed by Farah Khan herself.

One fan wrote, “Unmatched energy!” adding a fire emoji. Another commented, “Energetic performance by King Sir!” A third fan wrote, “Who would believe he is 60?” His dance has been widely loved by fans on social media.

“I Am Like the Eid Moon,” Says SRK

During the event, Shah Rukh joked that he has become like the “Eid ka chaand”—rarely seen, but always special when he appears. The crowd cheered loudly at this comment. He added, “I don’t consider myself so important that something should be named after me apart from my films. Films are my profession and my worship.”

SRK Gets Emotional Remembering His Mother

While addressing the audience, Shah Rukh became emotional talking about his late mother. He said, “If my mother were alive today, she would have been very happy. This is a huge honour for me. When my kids come here, I will proudly tell them—this is your father’s building, his name is written here.”

Property Highlights: Helipad & Swimming Pool

The tower being developed in Shah Rukh Khan’s name will feature a helipad, swimming pool, and other premium amenities. The project is expected to be completed in 3–4 years. A statue of Shah Rukh will also be installed at the entrance for visitors to take pictures.

Work Front

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film King. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhay Verma, and Abhishek Bachchan in key roles. Shah Rukh recently celebrated his 60th birthday on 2 November, and on that occasion, the first look of King was unveiled. SRK is all set to stun audiences with high-octane action in the film. The movie is being jointly produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
