As a senior film journalist, I have known bade-dilwale natured popular producer-director Sajid Nadiadwala, ever since he produced his first movie 'Zulm Ki Hukumat (1992)! Sajid-bhai's birthday falls on February 18th, just 04 days after Valentine's Day! Today, visionary producer Sajid Nadiadwala has unveiled macho hero Shahid Kapoor’s O’Romeo First Look in his latest movie directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. This movie releases on Feb 13th, 2026, just a day before Valentine's Day ( Feb 14th) !!

Finally, ardent fans got their first glimpse of amazing star actor-dancer Shahid Kapoor as (alpha-toxic-violent ?) bloody-angry-young-man look Romeo in the much-anticipated film of the year O’Romeo. Presented by the visionary showman Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the film also stars Tripti Dimri ( of 'Animal' and Bhool Bhulaiyaa-3, and Bad Newz movies fame). The film promises a unique cinematic experience. with Shahid’s intense First Look reveal hints at a romantic lover-boy character that is both violent, menacing, and quirky, showcasing the depth, drama, and passion that O’Romeo is ready to bring to the screen.

Sajid Nadiadwala presents O’Romeo, a film by Vishal Bhardwaj. produced under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner and the movie releases in Valentine’s Week on  Friday, 13th February 2026.. The movie 'O Romeo has an ensemble power-house performers ( as listed in Instagram post ) supporting cast comprising of Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal, Aruna Irani, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vikrant Massey,  Avinash Tiwary, Disha Patani, and many more.

Incidentally, in his past line-up of landmark movies filmmaker-music composer Vishal Bhardwaj is very famous for his acclaimed Shakespearean-inspired film trilogy: Maqbool (Macbeth), Omkara (Othello), and Haider (Hamlet), which cleverly transpose these classic tragedies into contemporary Indian settings, particularly the Mumbai underworld and Kashmiri conflict, earning critical praise for bringing Shakespeare's themes to modern relevance. This time too Vishal has used the Shakespeare character name Romeo, but the subject as depicted in the First Look, appears to be a different story with possibly a violence conflict-clash undercurrent involving the romantic  'O Romeo' intense aggressive screen-character, Interesting to note that bold and beautiful heroine Tripti Dimri has acted in this romantic movie 'Laila Majnu' ( 2018) where she played legendary Laila.!  Now, after eight years, she is possibly playing iconic 'Juliet' opposite Shahid Kapoor (of 2019 super-hit movie 'Kabir Singh' fame)!
