The Mukherjee family's annual tradition of celebrating Durga Puja in North Bombay brought together cousins and star actresses Kajol Devgn and Rani Mukerji-Chopra, along with other family members like Tanishaa, Samrat, Sharbani, and Ayan Mukerji

The event took place at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal in Mumbai, marking the installation of the Maa Durga idol amidst sacred chants and ceremonies, attracting over two lakh devotees daily from September 28 to October 2, 2025

The festival is a blend of faith, festivity, and cultural heritage, celebrated with grandeur and attended by numerous celebrities, including Kajol, Rani Mukerji, and Ayan Mukerji, as well as political figures like Minister Ashish Shelar

A poignant moment occurred when Kajol embraced Ayan Mukerji, who lost his father, Debu-da Mukerji, earlier this year Debu-da was a key figure in the annual Durga Pujo celebrations.

Tanishaa Mukerji paid homage to her family by wearing her grandmother's ring and father's pendant, while the committee members honored the memories of Debu-da and Ronu-Da Mukherjee, who played crucial roles in the festival's history

Young artist Rego B unveiled his new Pujo song, "Bolo Bolo Maa Durga," adding a musical touch to the celebrations, which are open to all devotees at the Mumbai-Juhu-SNDT campus
