&TV’s popular comedy show, Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai, consistently delivers humorous and entertaining tracks, much to the delight of the audience. The latest plot features the charming Angoori Bhabi, played by Shubhangi Atre, transforming into a beautiful but lovesick courtesan. Viewers are in for a treat as Angoori Bhabi graces the screen in the elegant avatar of Begum Anara. Reflecting on her character, Shubhangi Atre shared, “I always enjoy doing something new and exciting. Thanks to the show, I always get to try different things and experiment with my looks. In the current track, the viewers can see me as Begum Anara who is lovesick. Playing Begum Anara has been a fun experience for me. I must say, slipping into those vibrant costumes and adorning myself with traditional jewelry was a royal feeling. The nuances of a courtesan’s charm and grace are no small feat to master, but the humor woven into the storyline made it a joyous ride. My co-stars couldn't help but laugh during the takes, and neither could I! The chemistry on set was electric, with everyone getting into the spirit of the Kheeramandi track, and the off-screen giggles made the on-screen humor even more genuine. This fun track is bound to amuse the audience.”

Shubhangi Atre Inspired by Manisha Koirala in 'Heeramandi' Role

Shubhangi also expressed her admiration for Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala for her recent courtesan character in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directed Heeramandi, saying, “I was deeply inspired by the incredible Manisha Koirala Ji, who played Mallika Jaan in Heeramandi. Her portrayal was nothing short of mesmerizing, and it gave me inspiration for the layers and nuances of playing a courtesan. Manisha Ji’s performance was both powerful and graceful, and I aimed to bring a touch of that same elegance and intensity to Begum Anara, albeit with a humorous twist. Playing such a multidimensional character reminded me why I love acting so much. It's not just about delivering lines; it's about embodying a persona that brings joy and laughter to the audience. After posting a few pictures of Begum Anara’s look on my social media, I started receiving DMs and praise from all my fans, which was overwhelming. Playing this role reminded me of the versatility of our craft and how humor can transcend genres and bring joy to everyone. Stay tuned for more laughter and surprises on Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai.” Discussing the ongoing track, Shubhangi Atre adds, “Tiwari (Rohitashv Gour) and Vibhuti (Aasif Sheikh) notice Saxena (Saanand Verma) looking lost. Saxena reveals his scientist uncle is being pursued due to his invention: a telescope that sees a parallel universe. Skeptical, Tiwari and Vibhuti visit Saxena's uncle and see through the telescope. In the parallel world, Tiwari is Nawab Bailuddin, Vibhuti is cucumber seller Khacheduddin, Angoori is Begum Anara, and Anita (Vidisha Srivastava) is dancer Anjuman. Tiwari and Vibhuti inform Anita and Angoori, who also look through the telescope. They discover Begum Anara is depressed and alcoholic, while Anjuman and Khacheduddin are secretly married. Anjuman plots with Khacheduddin to win Begum Anara's love and take Nawab Bailuddin's wealth.”
