Actress Shweta Tripathi was recently seen performing aarti and puja at the sacred Ganga Ghat in Varanasi during the shooting of Mirzapur The Movie. She was very emotional as she has a special and long-standing relationship with Varanasi. Varanasi has always been very close to Shweta's heart. It's the city where she shot her first film, Masaan, and where her spiritual and professional journeys intersect. My grandfather studied at BHU, my mother wore a Banarasi lehenga at her wedding – I have a connection to this city in many ways. Even my trainer, Tridev Pandey, is from here. I love the food, the simplicity of the people, the strong kulhad chai, and the slow, relaxed pace of this city. These days, even the weather seems to be welcoming us with open arms.”
