Neeraj Pandey Talks About the Making of the Film Neeraj Pandey shared his excitement about the film, saying, “The journey of making this film has been wonderful. I’m confident that everyone will enjoy it.” When asked about the challenges of casting, he explained, “Casting is my job, and I don’t think of it as a challenge. When Vipul and I were writing this script, everything fell into place naturally. Our main task was to ensure that we cast the right people, and I believe we’ve done that successfully.” On the subject of storytelling, Neeraj mentioned, “I enjoy telling stories that entertain the audience while also making them think. Each scene in this film is designed to give the audience a clue to unravel the mystery.” A Nod to Influences: A Film from Neeraj’s Youth When asked about the inspiration behind the film’s title, Neeraj said, “The title Sikandar Ka Muqaddar is inspired by a film I grew up watching and loved. I believe it resonated with our entire generation, and I wanted to pay homage to that.” Collaborating with Neeraj Pandey: A Special Experience Ruchika, who collaborated with Neeraj on this project, praised his ability to connect with the audience through his storytelling. She said, “What sets Neeraj apart from other writers is his deep understanding of the audience's pulse. His stories are authentic, and he always goes to the root level when crafting them.” Rajeev Mehta Reflects on Playing His Role Rajeev Mehta spoke about his experience of working with Neeraj Pandey for the first time. “There’s a scene in the film where Avinash and I are in jail. I asked Neeraj sir if I should sit while delivering my lines. He said, 'Try it, and let’s see.' I think I managed to do it justice.” Flowing with the Rhythm of Neeraj Pandey's Direction Avinash Tiwari spoke highly of Neeraj’s efficient work style. “When you’re on set with Neeraj sir, it’s incredible. Before we even say 'Good Morning,' he’s already done several shots. He works swiftly, and watching him in action has taught me how to flow with the rhythm of the scene. The film has a lot of long, steady one-shots, so I had to adjust and go with the flow.” Tamannaah's Role: A Devious Twist Tamannaah, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shared how excited she was when Neeraj approached her. “I never got the chance to play such a character in Hindi films. Usually, I’m the one being chased for my heart, but here, I’m being accused of stealing diamonds. It’s an exciting twist,” she said. She also praised her co-star Avinash Tiwari, calling him hardworking and diligent. “Avinash completely immerses himself in his dialogues, and he does justice to his character beautifully. Jimmy is like a magnet on set – watching him perform was incredibly entertaining.” Jimmy Sheirgill: On Working with Neeraj Pandey Jimmy Sheirgill, known for his remarkable presence, shared his experience of working with Neeraj Pandey. “I’ve worked with Neeraj sir before, and every time we collaborate, I learn something new. When he gives me a script, I instantly know how he will shoot a scene. His vision is clear, and I understand it even without him saying much. He is brilliant at bringing out the best in his actors,” Jimmy said, adding, “Neeraj sir is a master at handling long shots. He’s not afraid to take risks, and we, as actors, love that.” The Character of Mangesh Desai Rajeev Mehta, speaking about his role as Mangesh Desai, shared, “My character is a 60-year-old, innocent, simple man who is thrust into a dangerous situation when a diamond heist goes wrong. He is wrongfully accused but stays loyal to his co-suspects, Kamini and Avinash, through all the chaos.” A Crime Drama with More Than Meets the Eye Avinash Tiwari described the film as more than just a crime drama. “It’s a complex story with layers and twists that go beyond the typical heist narrative,” he explained.
