Diwali 2025 brought a festive sparkle to Bollywood stars. Veteran actress Shabana Azmi and her husband, celebrated lyricist Javed Akhtar, organized a lavish Diwali party at their Juhu residence, which saw participation from many big names in the industry. Photos from the party have gone viral on social media, with stars impressing everyone in their traditional attire.
Stars Shine in Traditional Looks
Shabana Azmi looked stunning in a yellow suit, while Javed Akhtar donned a maroon kurta-pajama. Tanvi Azmi, Shabana’s sister-in-law and a renowned actress, was also present. Javed Akhtar’s son, Farhan Akhtar, looked stylish in ethnic wear, while his wife Shibani dazzled in a designer outfit.
Other celebrities also shone in ethnic attire. Actress Tabu wore a wine-colored designer Anarkali suit, paired with a white mini purse. Divya Dutta looked gorgeous in a pink designer saree. Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal opted for stylish black outfits, highlighting their simple yet chic look.

Recently, Shabana Azmi had shared pictures from a joyful Diwali gathering with her “Dher Sara Pyar” gang, which included Konkona Sen Sharma, Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza, Richa Chadha, Ali Fazal, Shahana Goswami, Divya Dutta, and others. She also celebrated Tanisha Chatterjee’s Busan award at her home.
In her post, Shabana wrote, “Heartfelt Diwali wishes from the Dher Sara Pyar gang to celebrate Tiger Tan’s courage and their amazing Busan award. Urmila Matondkar and Sandhya Mridul, we missed you. Thank you to Anu, Mahun for bringing water, and especially for the tender coconut panna cotta!” Meanwhile, Javed Akhtar referred to the event as the Tenko collaboration.
