‘Tareef-pey-taareef’ for Amruta Subhash-starrer ‘Jarann’ trailer by celebs like Anil Sharma, Jackie Shroff, Vikas Bahl and  ‘presenter’ Anees Bazmee himself ! by Chaitanya Padukone

Box-Office Badshah Anees Bazmee (of horror-comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ 2 and 3 fame) has now turned ‘Presenter’ of a Marathi movie titled ‘Jarann’ which is from the scare-fare psycho-thriller directed by super-talented Rushikesh Gupte, The film ‘Jarann’  boasts of National Award winner acclaimed brilliant actress  Amruta Subhash ( NSD alumnus), fantastic actress Anita Date and popular stalwart actor  Kishore Kadam.  This movie releasing on Thursday June 5th ( with English or Hindi subtitles) also features Prajakta Datar Jyoti Malashe, Vikram Gaikwad, Rajan Bhise, Avani Joshi, and Seema Deshmukh — each playing a pivotal role in unraveling the haunting mystery.

 What made Anees Bazmee, turn ‘Presenter’ for this ‘Jaraan’ ( black-magic’) ? Let me first clarify that this movie ‘Jarann’ is a serious, gripping spine-chilling horror thriller . But in this movie, there is no comedy.!! . ‘Jarann’  is more like a slick English daraavni movie backed by powerful performances, impactful visuals and backed by technical excellence. It has elements of shock-value and , ek-ajeeb-si-taaqat-shakti' but with with classy entertainment tadkaa. These days language of cinema is not a barrier. Ultimately  ‘content’ is the king that wins over audiences,. Honestly since past so many decades,  I have always had an emotional attachment for vibrant Mumbai city, the Marathi culture and I admire the content of Marathi cinema and dramas and of course the impressive talent of  all Marathi super-actors.  Honestly I consider myself lucky that I got the opportunity to associate with my first Marathi movie as a  Presenter,” shared Anees Bazmee., who in his initial career had the privilege-honour to also assist none other than legendary showman‘Raj Kapoor. 

 All the celebs including celeb-directors Anil Sharma, Vikas Bahl Raj Mehta, and star-actor Jackie Shroff and the news-media who watched the spine-chilling  teaser-trailer of ‘Jarann’ are highly impressed and have been showering ‘taareef-pey-taareef’ !   

 Gadar 2’ director Anil Sharma shared, “I liked the trailer very much. Everyone’s performance was excellent, and I really appreciated the overall feel of the film. If I had to sum up my reaction in one dialogue—it’s a very sincere film. I extend my best wishes to the entire crew-team, to all the actors, and to Anees Bazmee sir, who is presenting it.

'Shaitaan director Vikas Bahl mentioned, “Oh my God, I think I’ll be thinking about it all night. That last shot of Amruta—it’s going to haunt me for many, many days to come. I made Shaitaan, but I think this has completely outdone it.”
‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ movie director Raj Mehta added, “I had chills running down my spine. I think everyone should watch this film in theatres —it’s a fantastic story. The performances, the music, the technical aspects, the cinematography—everything is just amazing. Everyone should definitely go and watch it on 5th June.and over that weekend”
