'Tera Saath Naa Chhodenge'! Emotional musical tribute to mahaan super-actor, Dharmendra-jee on 90th B'Day--convened by Ashok Shekhar in presence of celebs !! By Sr. Journalist Chaitanya Padukone

It was a heartfelt blend of tears and cheers while fondly remembering legendary versatile mega-star actor-producer-shaayar and nature-lover  'late' Dharmendra -paaji on his 90th Birthday ( Dec 8th) at the ISKCON-Auditorium Juhu ! The audience was enthralled with the sentimental surreeli 'yaadon-ki-baarat'  of the 'OG most-handsome He-Man'  of Bollywood--Dharam-jee! Well-organised by producer-impresario Ashok Shekhar ( with proactive support from music-biz veterans Bharat Ashar and Pratik Mehta)  )  under Ashok's banner Madhuri Entertainment, the show was punctuated with live performances of  Dharam-ji's ( picturised) evergreen melodious songs and his famous dialogues and shaayri .. The 'gaayak-kalaakar; performers included eminent senior rock-star-singer Shrikanth Narayan ( "Voice of Mohd.Rafi" ) who worships 'Rafi-saab' as the ultimate swar-samrat for his impactful vocal expressions and nuances,  sang some of the soulful romantic Rafi-saab solos ( picturised on Dharam-jee) like  Aaj Mausam Badaa-- Main Kahin Kavi,-- Aapke Haseen, Jaane Kya Doondti,!. The other talented, excellent singers at the same event included Madan Shukla, Soumya Varma, Satyendra Tripathi, Miran Roy, and Vicky Chandra. were also well-appreciated.

The evening witnessed an impressive turnout from eminent personalities of the film fraternity, who thoroughly enjoyed the soulful as well as lively musical journey celebrating Dharam Paaji’s six glorious decades in Indian cinema. The live song performances were warmly received and enthusiastically cheered by the audience.

Senior politician ( former M.P.) and social crusader  Sanjay Nirupam-jee, an old and close friend of Ashok Shekhar, graced the evening as the Guest of Honour.. A hearttfelt gesture by veteran Neena Jalan-jee of Filmistan Studios, was that despite her ailing health issues, she attending the event  to pay her homage to Dharmendra Ji.
Veteran evergreen star actor Deepak Parashar and star actress Sahila Chaddha were also present as  Guests of Honour.

Among the other distinguished senior guests were: celebrity business managers — Shanti Malik, Ashok Vashodia,  Babu Bhai Thiba, publicist-manager Puneet Khare,  Amarjeet Singh and and glam actress-model-influencer Subhati Das.

Popular stand-up comedians Sunil Pal and Uday Dahiya not only attended but also performed, adding humour-tadkaa-manoranjan to the evening.
Senior Cameraman Anil Danda and Art Director Sachin Roy were also present Senior film journalists Chaitanya Padukone and Jyothi Venkatesh, also graced the occasion with their presence..

The show was designed, scripted, and anchored by senior film writer–director Ramesh Modi, and was co-hosted by Nita Bajpayee and Soumya Varma. Photography and videography were handled by Ramakant Munde.
The entire event was executed smoothly and efficiently by Ritesh Tripathi, who also managed media co-ordination and guest relations with diligent professionalism.
