Controversy Surrounds Film Telecast: Allegations of Political Bias

Even after the release of the film, many leaders believed that this film was made keeping politics in mind. The film was telecast on the government channel Doordarshan on 5th April i.e. Friday, due to which there is an atmosphere of commotion among the leaders.

Before the release of the film, on Thursday, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had requested Doordarshan not to telecast the film. When Doordarshan refused to accept his request the film was telecast on Friday at 8 pm.

On Thursday, Kerala CM strongly condemned this decision of Doordarshan by posting a post on his Twitter account (X account).

Congress-CPI (M) leaders also reached the Election Commission to stop the telecast of this film. Some leaders say that till the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, telecasts of films based on religion that can create tension should be banned.

The leaders believe that the BJP is getting such films telecasted for its benefit in the upcoming elections. He believes that the telecast of this film will tarnish the image of Kerala. Because the makers of the film claimed that this film is based on true events.

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, while speaking on this issue and opposing the telecast of this film, said, "This is cheap and cheap publicity."

All efforts were made to stop the telecast of this film but despite this, the film was telecasted successfully. Let us tell you that voting is to be held on 20 seats in Kerala on 26th April. So will the release of this film affect the voting of these voters?
