There was a time when "Happy New Year" greeting cards started being sent even before the New Year started... Mumbai, the city of Bollywood, used to be completely decorated. Hotels, bars, entertainment venues, theatres, clubs, theatres, cinema halls, everywhere there was an atmosphere of joy. On New Year's Eve night, there used to be late night (extra time after noon) dance music and comedy shows in cinema houses. It seemed as if we had entered a new world! The glamorous actresses and dancers girls of Bollywood used to turn twelve. Rakhi Sawant, Sambhavna Seth, Jai Shree T, Meena T, Huma Khan, Jazbel, Leena Das, Raksha Mehta...these girls used to be 'Welcome Girls' of New Year Shows. For all these dancers, the earnings started from the New Year show.
Corona ended the enthusiasm for New Year's shows
Then, suddenly, during these two years of entertainment, the number of nightly shows started declining. Greeting cards have been replaced by WhatsApp messages. The Corona period filled the remaining gap. No shows could be organized for the entire four years. People forgot that New Year's Eve shows also used to be held in Bollywood city.
New Year's Eve bustle faded away
The excitement of New Year's Eve bustle faded away. As if the heart-throbbing beginning of entertainment has been curbed! The fear of Corona had fueled the crazy parties held from Christmas to the entire fortnight of New Year.
This year was lucky for Bollywood
Now, times have changed again. The year 2023 is going to boom for Bollywood. Many films have been hits and many have broken records over the years. Now the glamorous stars of Bollywood are accepting the recommendations of making them welcome girls at exorbitant prices and are rejecting the offers worth crores for an entry in five-star hotels. However, in the past years, before Corona, there was talk of Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Deepika Padukone paying Rs 2 crore for each dance. Today, all of them are married, so hardly anyone would dare to propose to them to dance on New Year's Eve. In such a situation, attention is drawn to Sunny Leone, Mallika Sherawat, Meghna Naidu, Shefali Jariwala, Rakhi Sawant, Sambhavna Seth, etc. whether they are thinking of adding to the beauty of this New Year. Where are they going to strike the New Year's Eve parties? Everyone's answer was the same - "Oh where...! Now that time is no more, neither are those people, everything has changed!"
What could be the reason?
"In the past years, everything seems to have ended in the name of shows. People do not want to withdraw money. Demonetization and inflation may have been the reasons. But, this New Year 2024, there will be New Year shows, people. I am full of enthusiasm." Organizer of New Year parties, Hashim Khan told. Earlier, hotels in Mumbai, Delhi, Indore, and Kolkata used to be booked six months in advance for New Year. Johnny Lever and the late Raju Srivastava also used to attend our shows. But it is not like that now. Still, the shows are going to happen this year. Many film people are going to throw parties at their homes or special places. People don't want to share the fun of a private party."
Is this New Year's Eve going to be glamorous?
The glamorous programs of New Year's Eve have now become limited. Many item girls of Bollywood are in full swing. Even though the strictness of the rules, time limit restrictions, and security reasons have reduced the charm of this evening, the 'Welcome Girls' of New Year's Eve are in full enthusiasm, dancing and shouting to say -
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
