In 1940, Kajol's maternal grandmother Shobhna Samarth lived a wonderful life. Today, on her death anniversary, we have brought her love story. Today, on the occasion of love i.e. Valentine's week, we tell the interesting story of the love of Shobhna, a veteran actress, and Motilal, who is considered a natural actor. Veteran actresses Tanuja and Nutan's mother Shobhna were considered the top and coolest actresses of their time. Her first meeting with Motilal was on the set of the film. Both Motilal and Shobhna Samarth were stars who lived life on their terms. In an era when women did not step out of the house, Shobhna and Motilal not only expressed their love but also openly accepted their relationship in front of society.
Shobhna Samarth's love story
Motilal was an actor who lived a cool life. He liked driving fast cars, horse riding, and flying airplanes. According to media reports, Shobhna, married and mother of 4 children, was active in the film industry. Shobhna Samarth and Motilal met at Sagar Movie Tone production house which turned into friendship. After some time, Shobhna's relationship with her husband Kumar Sen Samarth broke. This was the same time when she came close to Motilal. Motilal proposed to her but Shobhna did not show interest.
Motilal had expressed his love in this way
Motilal did not give up but found a way to express his love, which perhaps even today's youth would not do. Motilal took a helicopter on rent and started circling on the roof of Shobhna Samarth's house. It is said that he wrote a love letter, wrapped it in a stone, and threw it away. The mirror of Shobhna's room broke and he said I love you. Shobhna became emotional due to this step of Motilal and accepted the love proposal. This relationship lasted for a long time but both of them did not marry. They did not hide their relationship with society but lived their life openly.
