During the event, the cast and makers addressed the audience, sharing not only their emotions connected to Border 2 but also expressing deep respect and pride for the nation, its brave soldiers, and their sacrifices.

“We Can Never Repay the Nation’s Debt” – Varun Dhawan
Actor Varun Dhawan, who plays a key role in the film, said, “We can only make films or songs—you protect us at the borders. This debt can never be repaid. If India had not won the Battle of Basantar (1971), the country would be very different today. As an artist, this has been the biggest responsibility of my career. This role became very personal for me. The song shook me the very first time I heard it. It could become one of the most important songs of our time.”

He added, “This song is for 26/11, Uri, Pulwama, and every place where someone sacrificed their life for us. It is even for the animals that serve at the borders.”
“‘Mitti Ke Bete’ Is for Special People” – Ahaan Shetty
Ahaan Shetty shared, “I was extremely emotional. This song is for our armed forces. Through films, we can offer a small tribute to the country. We are indebted to all of you.”

“My Biggest Creative Moment” – Mithoon
Composer Mithoon said, “I have given many hit songs, but Mitti Ke Bete is the biggest creative moment of my life. This song is built on the idea that India stands on—we are safe in our homes because some sons never returned.”

“Border 2 Is Bigger Than My Other 49 Films” – Manoj Muntashir
Lyricist Manoj Muntashir Shukla stated, “I have worked on nearly 50 films, but Border 2 surpasses them all. When I write for soldiers, I imagine how I would write if my pen had blood instead of ink. No soldier ever asks the country for the price of his blood. Even if the entire sky became paper and the entire sea ink, a soldier’s sacrifice could never be fully written.”
During the event, Manoj Muntashir also recited a poem, leaving the audience deeply moved.
Yeh jo Tiranga aaj ooncha lehra raha hai,
iski har lakeer mein aapke bhaiyon ka lahoo hai,
aapke pitaon ki saansein hain,
aapke beton ki qurbani hai.
Yeh jo desh muskura raha hai,
yeh jo aman-chain ghar lauta hai,
yeh us vardi ki laalima hai
jo sirf aankhon ko nahi,
har ghar ke aangan ko roshan kar gayi.
Ek sainik apne desh se kya kehta hai?
“Ae watan, hum tere liye jee na sake,
par tere liye mar zaroor gaye.”
Kehte hain sainik bhi insaan hote hain, Bhagwan nahi.
Bilkul sahi… sainik Bhagwan nahi hote.
tumne unhe seene mein bhar liya.
Jo zameen humein girane aayi thi,
ussi par tum maa ki god mein so gaye.
Mitti ne haath jod kar dua maangi—
“Hey Ishwar, agar damaad dena ho,
toh aisa dena.”
Kai log poochte hain—
ek hi zindagi thi, phir kyun qurbaan kar di?
Agar tum na hote, toh kaun
is dharti ko lahoo se seenchta?
Kaun hans-hans kar humare liye marta?
Border tumne dekhi, Border 2 tum dekh rahe ho.
Yeh kahani un beton ki hai jinse kaha jaata hai—
“Yuddh par ja rahe ho,
ek aakhri chitthi likh jao,
agar laute nahi,
toh yeh tumhare ghar bhej di jayegi.”
Us chitthi mein kya likha hota hai?
“Seema par goli lage aur saans toot jaaye,
toh mujhe meri boodhi maa ke paas pahucha dena.
Usse shauk tha mujhe dulha dekhne ka,
ghode par chadha, dhol-nagaadon ke saath.
Toh mujhe ghode par bithana, dhol bajana,
gaon ghumana, aur maa se kehna—
tera beta dulhan nahi la paaya,
par baraat lekar aaya hai.”
Pita se kehna—
maine dushman ko peeth nahi dikhayi,
aakhri goli seene par khai.
Chhote bhai se poochna—
kya woh wada nibhayega?
ek beta jaayega, ek lautega.
Behen se kehna— tera tohfa yaad tha,
par ek wada nibha saka, ek toot gaya.
Aur usse kehna—
jo kuye ke saamne wale ghar mein rehti hai,
jisse jeene-marne ki kasmein khaayi thi—
main use bhool nahi paaya.
Bas ek aakhri khwahish hai—
meri maut par rona mat.
Yeh shahadat meri chah thi.
Main jeene nahi, marne ko paida hua tha.
Mera naam Sainik hai.
After reciting the poem, Manoj said, “In veeron ko, in jiyalon ko, Bharat Maa ke in laalon ko yeh trailer ek shraddhanjali hai. Aur jab ise dekhkar aapki antaratma bole… toh bas ek hi awaaz dena — Jai Hind!”
This Film Is for Armed Forces Families” – Nidhi Dutta
Following the poetry recital, Nidhi Dutta emotionally said, “This film is for all armed forces families. I hope you liked our small tribute. My father J.P. Dutta has always paid tribute to martyrs in his films—be it the song Ek Saathi Aur Bhi Tha from L.O.C. Kargil or now Mitti Ke Bete. My father’s younger brother was also martyred, which makes this song very personal for us. I am grateful to Manoj Muntashir and Mithoon for giving words and music to the emotions of every soldier and their family.”
