The storyline of the movie is based on Prakash (Amit Sial) a doting father of two children residing in the beautiful hilly area of Sukhtal. Sukhtaal has the problem of economic difficulties at the same time, decreasing temperature and low tourist arrivals have led to the shutdown of the hotel where Prakash used to work. With no other choices available he has to take up a job far away in Mumbai, away from his family. Children’s Hilarious Tricks to Keep Dad Home: A Heartfelt Tale Feeling this split is unbearable, Prakash’s two young children and their friends go through some hilarious and sometimes serious “tikdams” (tricks) to make him stay home. Tikdam is most successfully executed when it comes to portraying childhood ignorance. In a beautiful way, the film portrays the children’s conversations, their concerns, and the passion that they have in them. Sincerely, we see the children and the struggles they go through emotionally and the measures they take in order to ensure that their father stays with them. It’s a welcome change to see child talents on stage; Arisht Jain, Aarohi Saud, and Divyansh Dwivedi giving their best. They are born to act and this is evident through their performance and they outshine even the main actors. Although the movie focuses on comedy in regards to the separation process it is also quite touching in portraying the inner conflict of the father. Beyond the family drama, "Tikdam" subtly explores the broader issues plaguing small towns' specific themes of global warming, its effect on local communities, the effect of climate change on tourism, and the dilemma of having to move in search of a better life. This film is intellectual and relevant at the same time. Amit Sial’s portrayal of Prakash is brilliant and it is very convincing to see how he struggles silently from the inside and how he longs for his family. The cinematography of the film is excellent as it gives the viewer a chance to enjoy the scenery of the town and its area. The music fits the story well and adds an emotional touch to it. Anchalia does a fine job of exploring these themes and creates the most affecting and hopeful of stories. If you want to watch a family and community-centered film that promotes the creative side of kids, then “Tikdam” is for you. I believe that 'Tikdam' is the movie that will be memorable and will be thought over after the film is watched. The movie emphasizes the strength of the family and the need to conserve our environment in society. If you are interested in a good, inspiring and emotional movie, *Tikdam* is a good choice to watch with your entire family.
