Elated to be part of the Dacoit-Ek Prem Katha team, versatile glam-girl Mrunal Thakur ( of movies Super 30, Batla House, Kalki 2898 AD, and Jersey fame) shares, "The story of Dacoit is true in its essence, a great mixture of rustic storytelling that is elevated with the stylized vision of both my co-star hero Adivi Sesh and perfectionist director Shaneil Deo. The separately shot Hindi-Telugu screen ( my first time ) bi-lingual character which is new rare screen-avataar I have depicted in the film which allowed me to explore multi-layered shades of playing an on-screen lead character that I haven’t explored before as an actor. This proposition mixed with the genre and script of Dacoit is what will truly make it a treat to watch for the audiences. I can’t wait to deep dive into the world envisioned by Shaneil Deo", says Mrunal who is super-excited because she has executed lots of breath-taking tough action-stunts and gun-shooting scenes and also has romantic intensity..

Expressing his excitement about his maverick role, "actor" Anurag Kashyap ( who is also shown singing in his own voice, phrases from the iconic evergreen retro Mohra movie song 'Aashiq Hai Tera Naam--Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast-Mast') shared, “Playing a police officer Swamy who believes in zero-corruption and who is a staunch Lord Ayyappa ('Sabarimala') devotee is both fun and challenging. The dilemmas of duty versus dharma, and going about doing his job with a dry yet witty sense of sarcastic humor is fantastic. I really enjoyed playing this Swamy character in two languages, shooting in Hindi, as well as in Telugu. To get the same impact in both languages is the challenging part, something I have thoroughly enjoyed. In this new millennium Dacoit movie there are no horses galloping, the dacoits are shooting from cars," shares Anurag who hopes to direct a Malayalam-Hindi bi-lingual movie in the near future," discloses Anurag who has shifted his base to Bangalore..
