The event kicked off with the film’s director and writer, Raj Shandilya, setting the tone with a humorous quote from the movie: “Jaldi bolo do ho jayenge” (Speak quickly and we’ll be done in two). He emphasized that the film is 97 percent family-friendly, encouraging audiences to watch it with friends or neighbors. Shandilya expressed his gratitude to the cast and crew and shared how much fun he had while making the film.

Rajkummar Rao’s Insights
During the event, the anchor highlighted the film's amusing dialogues, to which Rajkummar Rao responded with enthusiasm. Rao, a long-time admirer of Shandilya’s work, praised him for his writing and directing skills. He recalled laughing uncontrollably when he first heard the story of 'Vicky Vidya'. Rao described the film as packed with comedic dialogues and punchy scenes, commending Shandilya for his ability to make people laugh, which he considers a noble and challenging task.

When the media asked Raj whether he has officially adopted the name Vicky due to his roles in both previous and current projects, Raj clarified, ‘The name Vicky for this film was purely coincidental. At home, my wife still calls me Raj.’”

Tripti Dimri’s Experience
Tripti Dimri was asked about the film’s ‘97 percent family-friendly’ label. She replied that the film is even more family-oriented than one might assume. She enjoyed the shooting process immensely, feeling like part of a family on set. Dimri mentioned that she learned a lot from her colleagues, including Archana and Raj Shandilya.

Bhushan Kumar’s Perspective
When questioned about the reunion of the renowned producer-director duo and Rajkummar Rao’s transition from serious roles in 'Shrikant' to comedy in 'Vicky Vidya', Bhushan Kumar praised Rao’s versatility. He noted that Rao excelled in both serious and comedic roles and commended the entire cast for their performances. Kumar also remarked on how Archana Ji’s portrayal was so convincing that he initially didn’t recognize her on set.

Tripti’s First Comedy Role
Tripti Dimri shared her thoughts on performing comedy for the first time. She said, “My experience with comedy has been fantastic. I learned a lot and received tremendous support from the directors and my co-stars. We need to deliver a strong performance to ensure that the audience enjoys the film.”

 
Reunion of Raj Shandilya, Archana, and Vipul
 The media inquired about the reunion of these notable figures and the inclusion of Raj and Tripti, who were new to the comedy genre. Raj responded, “I’ve worked with Vipul for 7-8 years. This film also features other actors from Comedy Circus. Although Raj and Tripti were new to us, they fit perfectly into their roles.”

Comedy vs. Other Genres
When questioned about the challenges of comedy compared to thrillers, action, or drama, Raj admitted, “Comedy is indeed the most challenging genre. However, I am fortunate to have worked with a talented team, which made the process easier.”

Mallika Sherawat’s Comeback
Regarding Mallika Sherawat’s role in the film, Raj explained her casting choice: “Mallika was a perfect fit for the role of a modern girl from the 90s. Since she hadn’t been active in films for a while, we were thrilled to have her join the project.”

Tripti’s Nostalgia for the 90s
Tripti expressed her fondness for 90s cinema, stating, “My father loves watching 90s films. If I get the chance, I would enjoy watching such films with him.”

Post-'Stree' Life Changes
On whether there have been any changes in his life following the success of 'Stree', Raj responded, “There haven’t been significant changes. People often link their own success to mine. I remain the same person I was before.”

Competing with Akshay Kumar
Finally, when asked about competing with Akshay Kumar in comedy, Raj remarked, “Akshay Kumar is a superstar whose comedy we grew up watching. Even now, I feel excited when he calls. We cannot compete with such a superstar.”

'Vicky Vidya Ka Wo Wala Video' is set to hit theaters on October 11.
