Vidya Balan Praises MayaPuri Magazine

In a recent interview with MayaPuri Magazine, Vidya Balan expressed her admiration for the magazine's journey and its significant contribution to the cinema world. Here’s what she had to say about MayaPuri.

"First of all, a very big congratulations to MayaPuri Magazine for completing 50 glorious years. You’ve been a part of this industry long before I joined, and you’ve helped bring the stars closer to the people. For that, I thank you immensely. The support you’ve given us has been invaluable. I hope you reach a century soon, and when that happens, we will celebrate together," she said.

Vidya also shared some personal memories of MayaPuri, recalling, "We come from a South Indian family, so we didn’t read much Hindi. But after becoming an actress, when my interviews started being published in MayaPuri, I would see them and always enjoyed reading them."

MayaPuri Magazine, which began its journey in 1974, has been one of the most popular Hindi magazines covering Bollywood. The magazine has been a staple for Bollywood fans, offering a blend of interviews, gossip, movie reviews, and much more. MayaPuri has even been referenced in the 2008 Bollywood film Ghajini and the popular Star One teen drama Mile Jab Hum Tum.
