Today, Vikrant is a celebrated name in Indian cinema, but his beginnings were humble.
He started his career in television, with his first show being Dhoom Machao Dhoom in 2007. He then appeared in popular shows like Dharamveer (2008), Balika Vadhu (2009–2010), and Qubool Hai (2013), where his performances were well appreciated by audiences.

Later, Vikrant made a transition to the big screen. He appeared in Vikramaditya Motwane’s film Lootera (2013) alongside Ranveer Singh. He went on to work in a series of notable films and web series such as Dil Dhadakne Do (2015), Half Girlfriend (2017), Chhapaak, Haseen Dillruba, Ginny Weds Sunny, Mirzapur, Made in Heaven, and Sabarmati Report (2025). Most recently, he was seen in the film Aankhon Ki Gustakhiyaan.
