"We are organizing a grand concert tribute to my timeless-music-icon father Bappi-da Lahiri with Original Star Playback Singers performing on Feb 27th, " disclosed Rema Lahiri-Bansal -- at the sacred Saraswati Puja at Lahiri House !! By Sr. Journalist Chaitanya Padukone

The emotionally sensitive  Rema Lahiri had tears of joy as she spoke to me exclusively about her great father Bappi-Da Lahiri  at the grand 58th annual private Saraswati Puja organised by her family at Lahiri House. Shared Rema, " It's a matter of glorious pride for my family and me that the chartbuster songs composed by my father Bappi-da for mega-hit musical movie Disco Dancer ( 1982) and  for  'Armaan' ( 1981 ) are evidently still super-popular with the young generation. Recently two big-budget movies ' The Rajasaab'  had remixed Bappi-Da composed dance songs  ' Koi Yahaan Ahaa Nache Nache ( Disco Dancer ) and mega-blockbuster 'Dhurandhar' has reprised the dance song 'Ramba Ho Ho ( Armaan year 1981)

Taking forward the ancestral devotional legacy started by composer-singer Aparesh-da Lahiri followed by his son legendary global music-icon 'late' Bappi-da Lahiri at Lahiri House,, then Rema Lahiri along with her film-producer husband Govind Bansal along with their son young rockstar singer-composer  Rego B ( the fourth generation)  the sacred festival of Saraswati Puja-Basant Panchami was celebrated with diligent devotion and divine grandeur . This year the elaborate Puja ceremony and rituals were graciously co-hosted by  Mrs.Rema  Lahiri-Bansal,  eminent film-producer Govind Bansal and Rego B who warmly welcomed and looked after the invited guests.  Everyone was missing the presence of Rema's mother Mrs Chitrani Lahiri who is currently in the USA staying with her celeb composer-singer rockstar son Bappa Lahiri !

Producer Govind Bansal ( of movie 'Hum Tumhein Chaahte Hain' ) informs us that he is "proposing to facilitate the release of multiple movies during this 2026 year, the first being 'Dreamy Singh'  followed by yet another Hindi film and also a regional movie".
Even as the the holy mantras were recited and Aarti performed with Rego B playing the perfect rhythmic beats on the Dhaak drum resonated, everyone (including me) could feel the divine energy vibes.  The Puja ceremony was dedicated to  Goddess Saraswati, the revered Goddess of wisdom, knowledge, education, music, and the creative-- performing arts,

Various celebs from the entertainment and music industry, had also come to seek blessings from the magnificent idol of Maa Saraswati-Devi  The distinguished celeb-guests included  Mrs Punam Sinha ( wife of iconic actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha, Neelam ( Joy) Mukherji, elected BJP local popular Corporator Ms Sudha S. Singh. eminent film-maker Deepak Balraj, lead actor Bobby Balraj, Indo-Canadian Bollywood star-actor Rajat Bedi, actress-model Mallobika Banerji (cast in Prakash Jha's latest movie 'JanaaDesh' ), award-winning glam actress-model Anusmriti Sarkar, senior singer Chandrani Mukherjee,   .

In a heartfelt expression of gratitude,  Govind Bansal, Rema Lahiri, and ( the youngest (4-D Rockstar) Rego B. shared, _“Saraswati Puja is not just a festival; it is a moment of divine communion, where we seek wisdom, creativity, and inner peace. Speaking to me exclusively, Rema Lahiri disclosed that they had co-organised a unique live sentimental tribute mega-concert !  Shared Rema, " Almost every weekend there are regular live concerts which perform Bappi Lahiri songs mostly by orchestra-singers.  But our extra-special grand mega-show titled "Disco King Bappi Lahiri Nite"  organised by Sonvi Events is first time and never-before It was my brainwave to dedicate a live tribute unique mega-concert titled "Disco-King' Bappi Lahiri' to my  global-music-icon father Bappi-da Lahiri. Original famous playback singers of Disco Dancer ( 1982) like Vijay Benedict, Parvati Khan,besides legendary singer Usha Uthup ( of 'Ramba Ho' fame), Sapna Mukherjee are performing on Feb 27th, at the Shanmukhananda Hall. Also we are expecting senior celeb singers like  Alisha Chinai and  Salma Agha (or her celeb actress-singer daughter Zara Khan) to put in surprise appearances and perform evergreen hit playback songs composed by Bappi-Da . My son Rego B will also be singing and even I will sing a couple of songs as our emotional tributes. We have Maa Saraswati Devi's blessings and of course Bappi-Da's blessings with us, " insists dynamic Rema Lahiri.
