This month on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, the historical occasion of the 129th birth anniversary of revered iconic nationalist-patriot Netaji Subash Chandra Bose, the great son of modern India, founder of the Azad Hind Army, and symbol of indomitable courage, will be celebrated globally..

Meanwhile, senior journalist, former publicist and filmmaker Maann Singh Deep and his creative producer-wife Kalyaani Singh have proudly announced the proposed official launch of their much-anticipated "authentic bio-historical" film, “Untold Truth of Subhash Chandra Bose.” on this historic occasion!

This informative and eye-opener film, according to them,  is not merely a cinematic presentation but a bold attempt to uncover those pages of history that have been deliberately kept in obscurity for decades. Based on extensive research, international documents, and historical evidence, this film claims to bring to light facts that will shake the foundations of today’s global geopolitics.

Produced by Kalyaani Singh and Vedant Singh and directed by renowned veteran filmmaker Ashok Tyagi, ( of  Return of Jewel Thief, Riyasat, Why I Killed Gandhi and Red--Fire of Love all bold, movies fame) this ambitious project backed by Maann Singh Deep aims to daringly challenge established historical narratives and demonstrate that the true struggle and decisive role in India’s independence belonged to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, ( he passed away at the young age of 48 in the year 1945, in a shocking tragic air-crash ) not merely to the path of non-violence !.

According to Ashok Tyagi and  Kalyaani Singh, their bold film will also reveal how the victorious nations of World War II were intimidated by daring Netaji’s brave ideologies and how, through a meticulously planned conspiracy, his brutal assassination was apparently carried out — a truth that has been apparently concealed--- under the veil of mystery and accident to this day?

“Untold Truth of Subhash Chandra Bose” movie, they claim, will not only offer citizens a new perspective on authentic history but also compel them to reconsider the meanings of nationalism, sacrifice, and true freedom. It will serve as a powerful medium to present Netaji’s thoughts, struggles, and sacrifices to future generations with renewed awareness.

Explains Kalyaani Singh, Although many biopics have been made on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, I frankly feel that no actor can do full justice to the legendary patriot. Only Netaji Bose can play himself on-screen! Netaji did not believe in waiting for freedom. He believed in winning it. At a time when compromise was called wisdom, he chose defiance. Educated for power within the British system, he rejected comfort for conviction. To Bose, independence was not a distant promise—it was an urgent duty. Across continents, he turned exile into strategy and vision into action. From this resolve was born the Azad Hind Fauj, an army united not by land or rank, but by the dream of a free India. It proved that Indians could lead, fight, and sacrifice for their own destiny. His call for blood was not rhetoric; it was a pledge backed by his own life. He challenged an empire with courage alone—and shook its foundations. Subhash Chandra Bose can never ever vanish from history, but not from the Indian conscience. Some revolutions do not end. They transform into an independent republic nation called India, " shares Kalyaani !.

It's also a surreal historic coincidence that legendary Netaji Subhash Bose's birthday ( Jan 23rd) falls just three days before India's Republic Day  (Jan 26th) and his tragic death occurred in an air-crash on August 18th, just three days after Indian Independence Day !

Jai Hind! Vande Mataram!
