The mathematics of Bollywood has changed. Earlier, new aspirant faces used to directly contact producers and directors to get work in films, but now it is not like that. Ever since stars have started becoming producers themselves (and there are 4 to 6 producers in a film), it has become difficult for new talent to reach them. In such a situation, along the lines of Hollywood, a middle path has emerged in Bollywood too. This means taking the help of a casting director to reach the production house. These days, many casting directors are working in the film world, among them there is one name which is on everyone's lips, that is... Mukesh Chhabra!

Mukesh introduced many superstars through his casting agency

As a casting director, Mukesh's name has been associated with more than 300 films. The name of his casting company MCCC has been associated with Shahrukh Khan's very successful film 'Jawaan'. Associated as casting director of films like 'Chillar Party', 'Gang of Wasseypur', 'Kai Po Che', 'Shahid', 'Chennai Express', 'Jai Ho', 'Hansi To Phasee', 'Mastram' etc. Mukesh Chhabra is also the person who brought many film stars to Bollywood through his company. These stars are- Raj Kumar Rao, Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanya Malhotra, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Mrinal Thakur, Prateek Gandhi etc.

Always looking for the perfect cast for a film 

A girl gang was to be cast in the film 'Jawaan'. In the entire casting of this film, Mukesh took a year to make the appropriate choice. He says that when the producer gives him complete freedom and demands the selection of actors according to the subject. Then he does casting in all kinds of ways. He cast Irrfan Khan in 'Chillar Party' after watching a play. A girl gang was needed for 'Jawaan'. Full time was given in casting Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girika Oak Godbole, Lehar Khan, Alia Qureshi, and Sangeeta Mukherjee so that all the girls do not look the same. Raj Kumar Rao was cast in 'Kai Po Che and Sushant Singh Rajput in 'Dil Bechara', the film of which he was the director.

Mukesh Chhabra, who studied in Delhi and was associated with theatre, came to Mumbai in 2008 and started his casting company MCCC with the casting of the film 'Chintuji'. At that time the film PRO used to have more involvement in the production. All those PROs used to be a part of the film. But, these days the situation has changed. PRO companies have opened in which the new girls associated with them do not have any information. Casting companies have emerged catering to those needs.

 Mukesh Chhabra selects the films he casts by assimilating each character. He has also acted in some films and has directed the film 'Dil Bechara' (Sushant Singh Rajput, Music - AR Rahman), so he quickly understands what the producer wants and he takes that character through auditions, theater, and finds through other means.

It is Mukesh Chhabra who has told Hindi film people what the need for a casting company is. Therefore, when the film starts, the producer-director becomes relaxed by leaving the responsibility of who will be the artist to Mukesh Chhabra.
