This Mother’s Day, Whistling Woods International (WWI), Asia’s premier institute for Film, Communication, and Creative Arts, launched a heartfelt initiative titled ‘Flavours From Home’, transforming the campus canteen into a space filled with love, memory, and homemade comfort.
With over 70% of WWI’s student body coming from outside Mumbai, the campaign was designed to offer more than just meals — it delivered an emotional connection to home. The institute reached out to ten mothers across India, collected their signature recipes, and recreated them with care in the WWI kitchens. From coastal Chicken Gassi with Kori Roti to Kerala-style curd rice, mango pickle, and tomato rasam — each dish told a story of love from miles away.

The initiative quickly resonated beyond campus. On Day 1, the campaign film garnered:

  • 19,000+ views (with 40% from non-followers)
  • 245 shares and 65 heartfelt comments
  • 1,200+ interactions, 20% of which came from outside the WWI community
