Last Tuesday, an MP-MLA court in Rampur (Uttar Pradesh) took a strict stance and declared actress and former MP Jaya Prada as absconding. The court has told the Superintendent of Police there to look after a CO-rank police officer. Jaya Prada should be arrested and presented in court on March 6. Till the time of writing the news, the phone of the former screen star and controversial queen of politics is said to be switched off.

Jaya Prada has been declared absconded

Jaya Prada had contested the 2019 elections as a BJP candidate from Rampur and during that campaign, she had violated the Election Code twice in her speeches. Ghatak, angry with her, had filed a case against her. It is worth reminding here that during that time, there used to be a lot of statements like 'Tu Tu Main Main' in the public meetings between Rampur's powerful leader Azam Khan, and the actress candidate. Jaya Prada even cried many times while expressing her feelings, which the opposition even called the acting of the actress. However, Jaya Prada has been running away from the court's repeated summons for some time to appear in two cases of that time. First, the court sent summons several times, then issued a warrant, and even then when she did not appear in the court, a non-bailable warrant was declared. Despite ignoring the court summons seven times, she has not appeared in the court. Ultimately the court had to become strict and declare him absconding and the police were ordered to present him before the court on March 6. There is no news from the actress-former MP yet.

Jaya Prada and controversies are an old relationship 

Jaya Prada has been active in politics since 1994 as a Member of Parliament (MP). When her film career was in form, she stayed away from films and joined the then-popular South Indian actor-leader N.T. Rama Rao's party, Telugu Desam (TDP). Later, when TDP was taken over by NTR's son-in-law Chandrababu Naidu, she was sent to Rajya Sabha. From 1996 to 2002, she was a member of the Rajya Sabha, then became a member of Mulayam Singh Yadav's Samajwadi Party, and from 2004 to 2014, she became an MP by winning the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. She joined the BJP in 2019 and contested the elections from Rampur and all the controversies remained the same. The time came because the powerful leader Azam Khan had come directly before her. The order to arrest her and present her in court is related to that time.
Well, getting summons from the courts is not a new matter for the beautiful actress who came from the South to work in Hindi films and became very successful. Even before this, in a 2004 case, she was sentenced to 6 months in jail and a fine of Rs 5000 by the Egmore Metropolitan Court of Tamil Nadu. Then, she was accused that she and her brother Raja Babu had not paid the outstanding contributions of about Rs 8, 17,794 to the Employees' State Life Insurance Corporation. Jaya and her brother Raja have been partners in 'Jaya Prada Theatre’. In case of non-payment of workers associated with it during the period 1991-2002, this case falls under Section 85 (i) (b) of the Employees' State Life Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Act.

Jaya Prada always defends herself from the allegations leveled against her but she does not always care about the summons until the water starts flowing over her head. Those close to him believe so. His relationship with the accused is also very old. From her young age (when her name was Lalita Rani Rao) till now, she has been in the news in some way or the other. The career of this star of Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, and Hindi films has always progressed with controversies. When she married a married man, Shrikant Nahata, she was accused of being a second wife because the first wife of the man she married had birthed a child even after their marriage. This matter also reached the court. When she entered politics, she left her mentor NTR, and joined his son-in-law Chandra Babu Naidu She left Naidu's party and joined the Samajwadi Party under the influence of Amar Singh, then left SP and joined the party formed by Amar Singh and then joined BJP.

Will the BJP give her an election ticket for 2024?

That is, Jaya Prada has an old relationship with controversies. Suspense remains whether the BJP with which she had contested the 2019 elections and the period in which the court has issued a non-bailable warrant saying "Jaya Prada should be present", will the BJP give her its election ticket in the 2024 elections or not!
