Not many people may be aware that "Valentine Days--Looking for Love " (2003) was possibly one of the first full-length Indian-English romantic film with Hindi actors and an American model-heroine with different colors and shades of romance between the three heroes & the foreign actress-girl. The film was also released in the Hindi Dubbed version & Tamil dubbed version for Sri Lanka & was produced & directed by Sumeer Sabharwal, also known as Dimppy Ramdayal.

The films lead cast was American glam model-actress Gina Marie (Sita Thompson)   and Hindi actors Nikhil Arya, Manoj Bidvai & Samirr Kocchar-- all of who were debut-actors as film-maker Dimppy wanted a fresh look for the film. The music was by Jayanta Pathak & who is now well-settled in the US & is doing world music very successfully.

As we all know, Nikhil, Manoj & Sameer all went on to become popular star-actors on TV and in movies with Samir Kocchar also getting huge popularity with his IPL anchor career for several years!

Shares creative-visionary director Dimmpy, " One of the major highlights of the film, apart from the amazing script, was the beautiful locations of Uttarakhand & its great super-hit melodious music. The songs were sung by KK, Shaan, Leslee Lewis, Alisha Chinoy, Anaida, Mehnaz & many other good singers. Sadly, it was perhaps too early a period (2003) for Indians to watch Indian-made English films. Which was possibly a big misjudgment by me as a filmmaker. Also we had planned to release the film on Valentine’s Day (Feb 14th). But due to a technical hitch at the mastering studio we were compelled to shift the release by two weeks later. This was the period of the World Cup & hence perhaps we fully lost out on the Valentine's Day sentiments. The film was a beautiful youthful musical but unfortunately, the timing of its release was not right, and the movie did not get the terrific response that it deserved "  discloses innovative Sumeer (Dimppy) Sabharwal who is currently ( 2025) busy working on a proposed international English movie possibly with a foreign lead cast.
